I rather like that, though I don't really like the Hive being Human husks thing. Kinda want them to subvert the standard undead stuff a bit. Other than that though, I like it. Gave believable, and save for the Cabal and hive, not-evil reasons for fighting against Humanity. AND NOW BECAUSE YOU POSTED IT IT'S GOING TO END UP NOT HAPPENING

Hives: Ancient race that kept themselves alive in sarcophagus like ships. They typically burrow into a planet regardless of the damage it may cause and burrow tunnels and dungeon like caverns.

I am starting to think the Cabal might just be selfish, Bungie did call them heavily industrial and militaristic; so whats to say they are not out just to grab territory and further themselves?

they are at war with the vex. they came to wage a war but not with humanity with the vex. the cabal army is massive and they are on more then one planet. they go out and put other in line.
