This. Killzone SF/Battlefield 4/ COD... all operating at 60 fps in multiplayer. How would you guys feel if Destiny multiplayer is only 30 fps?

3 RepliesI'd be pretty disappointed. Ill still get the game but the fact that it wouldn't be able to run at 60 or +60 FPS is kind of pathetic by now.

2 RepliesEdited by Ad Hoc: 11/17/2013 4:53:36 AMI won't care. Halo 3, Reach, and Halo 4 run at 30fps and it doesn't bother me at all. I'd prefer if they focused more on the resolution.
-
2 Replieswhy do people have to make such big deals out of these things instead of actually enjoying the game?
-
1 ReplyI would prefer 720p/60fps over 1080p/30fps.
-
I'd be fine with that.

Edited by nao: 11/17/2013 3:27:00 AMHonestly not expecting 60fps for Destiny. While it'll be an FPS I don't think you can put it in the same category as those other games. Destiny is a "shared world shooter". Much more open world and mmo-ish from the sound of it. Would be surprised if they could pack in everything they're talking about and still make it 60fps. I'd be pretty ok with 30fps considering what the game is trying to achieve.

1 ReplySince my expectations on ps4 and every next gen game are very highly settled i want the best of best. In every relation concerning games.

1 ReplyWe've all played games that run lower than 30 fps and ejoyed them as hell. I would feel good if it runs at 30 or 60 fps, as long as the game itself is great. I want to play the game and never get bored of it.
-
2 RepliesI wouldn't care in the slightest bit. As long as it is playable.
-
10 RepliesI say it doesn't fcking matter whatsoever unless your recording or livestreaming. To the human brain anything over 20fps looks exactly the same. 30fps just means we will get better texture rendering and terrain loading.

Edited by COW GUY: 11/16/2013 9:46:05 PMDo you see my profile? Does it say I give a damn?
-
I wouldn't care because I'm an adult.

I don't typically put 60 FPS and Bungie in the same sentence. Bungie isn't making a frantic and fast paced shooter. 60 FPS isn't really necessary.
-
According to Microsoft Halo 5 the one coming out next year will be the first Halo running at 60fps. So we have all been doing fine so far, I'm sure Destiny will work great either way.
-
It's not going to matter. Plus I wouldn't complain about anything until the game comes out.
-
I doubt Destiny is intended to be a fast-paced game like those.
-
You mistake me for someone who gives a crap. Good day.
-
I wouldn't mind since Destiny is going to be massive.
-
Ill pick FPS over resolution any day if they can make it at 720p 60FPS or 1080p 30FPS Ill love to play Destiny at 720p 60FPS
-
2 RepliesI don't care. Games like Halo 4 run at about 30 I believe, and that's smooth enough.
-
The only reason I don't like 30 fps because if it drops slightly you're going to notice a lot more than a slight drop from 60.

1 ReplyThe whole 60 fps (frames updating every 16.67 milliseconds) thing really is overblown for multiplayer. I'l lay bets your ping time to host is in the 100+ ms range, which is like 10 fps. So what difference does it make if your only getting player data updates 10 times per second and your screen is updating at 60 fps? If your playing solo or split screen with local friends, then it will be great but for online it likely makes no difference.
-
9 RepliesYou can't really see the difference, so I don't care...
I love it
-
It would be a downside but playable. Personally, I like playing fps in 120 frames.
-
8 RepliesI personally think 60 FPS is overrated... the people who think that games with 30 FPS looks horrifically bad in comparision are the equivilant of people who's eyes are sensitive when they turn on the lights in the morning because their eyes were adjusted to the darkness of night.

1 ReplyAs long as it doesn't look choppy there's no problem.
