• It had a strong storyline... And that's about it.

  • I mean, between the half baked mechanics, cut/underused features, poorly written patchwork mess of a story, and general lack of polish (in the sense that a polished turd is still a turd), it's a broken mess of a game.

  • There's something really wrong with you, you obviously played the game enough to have a valid opinion about the story so it must mean you invested a lot of time in it. Unless you only play games to have a difference of opinions with people. I usually completely stop if i'm not enjoying myself, so this masochistic opinion you have on the game is really unsettling... You obviously finished the game, you didn't enjoy it? i disagree, you stuck through it...

  • It's called being a critique - when I find something I don't like my first reaction isn't to walk away, my first reaction is to find out what i don't like about it, to form an accurate opinion on what exactly went wrong, and then to compare and refine that opinion online with other people who may see it differently - So no, I finish games that i don't like so that I can conclusively say why I don't like them.
Though that doesn't make me any less of a masochist~
• Something aint right with everyone...but there's nothing wrong with taking an Ivory tower approach to something.

  • If you want the epitome of a broken mess of a game, go play Ride to Hell. Infinite, while it may not be the best game out there, it's certainly a decent game.

  • Bioshock Infinite is unequivocally a 11/11 video game. Better than any other game ever made except for Alien: Colonial Marines, Duke Nukem Forever, and all 90's FPS especially Quake 1. But yes Ride to Hell is one of the worst games... ever made. It's gotten up to 3.9/10 It's gotten as little as -1/11 or 0/10... Or 1/10 if that's a 1-10/10 scale as opposed to 0-10/10 like on Angry Joe's Scale...

  • And if I want the personification of everything that's wrong with the industry, I'll talk about a game that people know about and has quite a lot of discussion value - not some obscure single A title who's sole talking point is that it can be used to derail a discussion...

  •
single A title
You know that calling a game a single A/triple A game is completely stupid. Everyone has a different definition for what it means. Yes, Infinite may be bad in some areas, but in no way is it broken.

  • So... Like a 6/10 But Ride to Hell is a 0-1/10? The single A game would imply that Ride to Hell is even a video game though... However this is not true because it is just a personification of everything possibly wrong with a video game. It's only saving grace was at least it has short periods of time when it's functional... Bearly with glitches. That's not a good thing if that's the only positive of your game. It's boring, repetitive, artificially difficult and even semi-broken. Poor. Shit. Terrible. I think it's on the list on Wikipedia for video games that you should never buy. Under any circumstances ever. It's got like a 0/100 on Metacritic or something like that...

  •
game
You know that calling something a game is completely stupid. Everyone has a different definition for what it means... Since everyone raves about the story - the plot alone makes it a broken game.

    A bad story =/= a broken game

  • Eh, if the story is a big part of the game I'd argue that it kind of does >_> *shrug* Not having played Bioshock Infinite I have absolutely no stake whatsoever in the argument over whether it's a bad/broken, or otherwise, game. But I would definitely say that if the story is supposed to be a fairly large part of the game and the story just doesn't work then it can sort of be argued that it's broken.

  • its has a good story, some people thought the story was cheap and uninspired and that the ending was an example of the devs saying "-blam!- it, lets just slap this in there to cover the plot holes". Those people can have their extremely minor opinion, they probably enjoy being one of three people in the world that dont like bioshock infinite. My only gripe with it was that you could only carry a primary and secondary weapon, whereas in previous bioshocks you always had your complete arsenal available to you at all times once you unlocked the gun.
