What's your opinion on immortality?
-
-
Yes... I have a general lack of appreciation for nearly everybody else's existence, so I could deal with watching you ALL die.
-
Would I age?
-
You shut your self out from everyone you know. Always on the run, faking your death so people wouldn't realize you don't age. It sounds like it would be cool but you would realize after some time that it's worst then death.
-
Do every drug ever at once while sky diving as I listen to Indulge The Temple by Mongrel's Cross.
-
I think eventually you'd run into a problem. Hunankind would evolve and you'd be sign as an unattractive and stupid person albeit an immortal one. Living for a few thousand years would be sweet though.
-
I think immortality would be painful. You would constantly see people you know come and go.
-
No, I wouldn't want to live forever.
-
I would ask about the strings, conditions, side effects, "would I stay young," etc. If I can't get those questions answered (I'd be willing to have a few go unanswered) then I'll pass.
-
I guess so
-
Yeah might as well. Eventually humanity will evolve past me, then die off, then I'll be alone of a couple billion years until the sun destroys the Earth, the for trillions of years I'll float around waiting for the universe to experience complete entropy and then for another centillion years I'll drift about until another universe pops up and then maybe after a couple more trillion years I'll crash on a new planet but it won't be suitable for any sort of life so I'll have to wait another couple centillion years for the planet to be destroyed and that universe to die off then another maybe pops up and the cycle continues until by random chance after eons and eons by utter random happenstance I crash on another planet that will produce life and human identical beings and I can have some buds after teaching them English.
-
No way. I wouldn't like to watch everybody I love die constantly as I make new friends and they pass away. I wouldn't want to have to deal with monotonous things every day like driving, eating, or pretty much anything I do too often. I feel like I would end up trying to end my life. Possibly the only reason why I might consider it is to see the future's technology but I would much rather be able to jump forward in time than live through it all.
-
Totally Why wouldn't you?
-
Yes because I'd like to know how it feels to get shot and run over
-
Yea but id like to find someone else who is immortal that is friendly in my time
-
Eternal youth? Possibly, sure. Complete and total immortality in this body with this mind and ego? No. Everyone needs rest, eventually. And I'm not talking about sleep. Maybe if I was like a living buddha and wouldn't slip into madness over the course of countless eons.
-
Well yeah, duh. That's probably the easiest question I've ever answered. I'm too curious about everything. I'd have so much stress gone if I was immortal. No more worries about food/water/money/jobs/time/ etc. I could just start off walking around the earth for however long I want, seeing everything. Then when we get to the point of space travel, terraforming planets, new colonies. New solar systems. New galaxies. Aliens. Superpowers. Etc. Sure dealing with losing loved ones is always gonna be tough regardless, but that's apart of life. I'd take immortality over anything in a heartbeat.
-
Definently...
-
Just to play videogames, yes.
-
Yes, that way I could see civilizations rise and fall, I could see how humanity eventually self destructs, and I would have SO MUCH money!
-
I would
-
Yes. I will eventually gain enough interest from my investments to buy anything...anything
ANYTHING
-
-
Yes, as long as I could back out
-
I'd rather have the power to bend space and time. No need for immortality if I control every aspect of everything that ever existed and ever will exist.
