What's your opinion on immortality?
-
I'd try it
-
-
Unless the people I care about most are also immortal, no.
-
Count me in
-
Edited by Ziggerastica: 4/10/2015 8:41:22 PMNo. Because if you couldnt die imagine the pain if you get crushed or buried alive. Or if you get shot in the head.
-
Tuck Everlasting anyone?
-
Live longer yes, immortal no
-
I would. Living on like a great historian or lore keeper. It would be a dirty job, but it would help society more than it would hurt me. I hope.
-
If I can turn it off when I got ready to die, then probably, otherwise I don't think I would like to be immortal.
-
That'd be horrible, seeing all the people you love, die and you can't do anything about it. I wouldn't want to be immortal unless my loved ones were as well.
-
Yes. If the immortality is in my genes then I can make an immortal bloodline.
-
Most people side with "no," given that the people they love would all die. That wouldn't stop me, though. I would find solace in that there would be someone who would always remember who those people were, that I'd be responsible for caring on their legacy. That said, immortality would be interesting. I'd be interested in knowing if we would be truly immortal or if we just wouldn't die of old age. Man From Earth discussed this. It was interesting in that the main simply didn't age. He was still human and had lived for tens of thousands of years. Would be interesting to see how a human brain would cope with storing that much information.

-
I would! I liked to see change and if love to see it in my very eyes :) and I can continue my family legacy :D
-
I'd love to be immortal. Nobody else would love me being immortal though, as i would be a complete asshole with complete disregard to everyday laws and morals.
-
That means I couldn't fall in love with anyone...
-
Only if I had a friend or lover to spend eternity with
-
If I could be, I would. I would get over the deaths of loved ones over time.
-
Quality bump. OT: I don't know. Sometimes the inevitability of Death scares the living Jesus out of me, and sometimes I'm scarily thinking about accelerating that. I guess it would be interesting to do. It would certainly make Travelling a more viable option.
-
Yes Since the. I can see what else is out in the universe, experience the world and anything else possible, etc.
-
Heeeell yeaaahhh
-
Plenty of reasons not too... I still would.
-
Aw hell no. Imagine if there's a massive catastrophe on earth and you got buried alive. No way to kill yourself, stuck for eternity. Similar case like Hidan in Naruto.
-
Only if I could stop being immortal at any time.
-
No. I would see everyone I know die, and as soon as I made new friends, the same thing would happen. Plus, it's gotta get boring.
-
Most certainly. I can heal those afflicted with the disease for eternity.
