Someone remind me to bump this thread at release day next May.

Godzilla will be glorious, but I doubt it'll beat Pacific Rim...
-
Pacific Rim had too much cheese. Judging by the teaser, Godzilla lacks cheese, though delicious can be, it doesn't necessarily fit. Which is a great thing in my book. We don't want another like the last. PR was fine, since it was something new, they could do what they wanted with it.
-
From the teaser alone, it seems epic... Like an Armageddon epic.... Pacific Rim stands as it's own movie, but 2014 Godzilla will become a monument to all of cinema's sins.... (In other words, it'll be so epic that it might make Hollywood rethink it's own existence.)
-
Might go and see this, if it's anything like the original. The only other ones I've seen is the shitty American one and Invasion of the Astro Monsters.

IT CANT

I hope so. The Godzilla teaser was my second favourite trailer this year <3
-
Nope.
-
Yeah. Godzilla is a modern legend, like slenderman, or a superhero, or the doctor
-
Pacific Rim wasn't even that good, let's be honest here.
-
I was going to watch it anyway lol
-
i can tell you right now, i wont be seeing Godzilla in theaters (let alone twice like a did with PR)...
-
Who's he going to fight?
-
Nope, no Ellen McLain.
-
It should, Godzilla is known around the world whereas Pacific Rim was known by barely anybody. However, Legendary don't seem to be doing much to promote the film, I mean, it's almost 7 months away from release and we haven't even got an official teaser yet (not including the one that was recently leaked, Legendary are taking them down) even though most films get one a full year before release.

Simple answer
Yes
-
We know literally nothing about that movie. Haven't seen clips, stills, nothing. But based on a loose assumption, I doubt it.
-
Well of course, it's -Blam!-ing Godzilla!
-
Not sure how I voted no. I didn't want to vote at all. I was going to say that if they stay true to the Japanese Godzilla, then yes, it will be better. But if they don't, then hell no.

Obv. Pacific rims story was shit, easily beatable.
-
Yes. I think it can pull in the Japanese audience that PR did, AND pull in the American audience, where PR lacked. Because who's never heard of Godzilla?!?
-
Am I the only one who didn't like Pacific Rim? The soundtrack was great, but other than that....
-
Definitely.

Yes.
Someone remind me to bump this thread at release day next May.
Bump this next May
