The Thesis of The Destiny Fanboys
I have a few theories on the Destiny fanboys:
A: They are Bungie fanboys who likely started liking them by playing lolReach. To them, Reacharound was an amazing game with excellent mechanics like Bloom and Armor Lock which should be carried over to their new game.
B: They are Playstation fanboys who heard about how good the Halo games are (except Reach, though they don't know that it sucked) but could never play them. Now that Destiny is multiplat, and heavily biasing Sony at that, they are excited to finally play a Bungie game. Unfortunately, they will be disappointed, as this game will be as mediocre as lolReach.
Just my theories. What do you guys think?

I feel disrespected! I was watching the community at the beginning of Halo 3 and i have joined later on. I have had Halo all my life. And Reach was amazing!

Excuse me, Reach isn't one of the games that brought most of this amazing community (excluding no one in particular) together. Also, FYI, try trolling without speaking down to your viewers, it usually helps. (Sets explosives on bridge) He huffed and puffed and blew your bridge up. 2 RepliesWhy was Reach bad? That's all I ever hear. It has bloom and had a few things in multiplayer people didn't like. Destiny looks good to me. Though we still need to see more.

And I'm guessing you don't give a hoot about anything but multiplayer (most likely you're a CoD player, if so), and if this is true, I can understand your inability to appreciate Reach. You probably hated ODST for the same reason, despite them being above standard games.

Well CE was my first Halo and loved all of them. Reach was a masterpiece and the best all around Halo game. I am a Destiny fan because I feel it is going to be the future of the FPS genre.

I was going to write a thought out comment explaining that there are far more reasonable options as to why we are excited to see what becomes of Destiny, but I'm going to choose to be the bigger person. :)

5 Replies1: Halo Reach didn't suck, as it wasn't as good as the others, it was still a solid game, along with Halo 4. 2: yes, I also think that they are Halo fanboys who are butthurt on 343i so they are going with Destiny and spitting on other people. 3: I agree with everything you said about fanboyism.

Where to start here... I started playing bungie games when I was a kid, when Marathon was new. Marathon was great, and I've played every bungie game since. Reach, while definitely not the best, was still fun and quite enjoyable. Argument A null and void. While I have a PS3, I use it primarily as a gloyified blueray player. It doesnt get much playtime anymore. Ever since I was old enough to work and make money on my own, I've always bought whatever console has come out, be it nintendo, sony, microsoft, sega, etc. I am no playstation fanboy. Neither am I an xbox fanboy either. I play it more now simply because I enjoy the controller more for the games I play (most are multi-platform). Though if I had to classify myself a a platform 'fanboy', the Master Race has always been my preference. Nothing better than a mouse and keyboard. Argument B, null and void. Have you been keepin up with the develpment of this game at all? I don't really see where you are thinking this game will be weak or mediocre. It's quite a feat they've been working on. We still don't have a lot of details, but from I have seen, if they can deliver what they are promising, this game will truly be epic. So I ask you, what do you see that makes you believe anyhing of what you said? Or do you simply take pleasure in being a troll and making baseless assumptions?
