Lol concept doesn't prove anything. One of the things they actually did with Halo 4 was the art style and the story. But the GAMEPLAY is very similar to COD.

 • Why do people say this when halo started the modern shooter game? The gameplay is probably similar to COD (which i don't think) Because that is the only game anybody wants to compare halo to and when the devs see that they develop accordingly.
But the GAMEPLAY is very similar to COD.
Longer kill times + Precision weapon based gameplay + much smaller hitboxes/lower amount of bullet magnetism + far greater movement speed/jump height/movement mechanics + vehicular combat + completely different approach to melee + non customizable weapons =/= CoD And what do we have on the == CoD side? Ordnance Drops == CoD Armor Mods == CoD Specializations == CoD All of which can be customized away from MP. MP isn't a CoD clone. I dislike it myself, as it strays from the traditional arena setting of Halo, but it's far from a CoD clone- rather it's a unique arcade shooter with arena elements.

 •
But the GAMEPLAY is very similar to COD.
Does CoD have energy shields? Does CoD have map based weapons? Besides the CoD 3 and the limited tanks in WaW does CoD have any real vehicle use in the games? Does CoD have a super human jump height? Does Halo have weapons that are on the same level with each other? In CoD the autos and SEMIS are both pretty mucn on the same level. They both do about the same damge and have the same range. In Halo the precision weapons and autos don't share the same range and do different damge. The Loud outs: Both games do have them, but they are still different setups. In CoD you can use any weapon so like something that would be a power weapon in Halo. And you customize your weapon with sights and attachments. In Halo 4 you are only allowed to choose the main precession weapons, the main autos and pistols. So you can't have power weapons in your load out. Also you can't select which sight you want to use or anything. You are stuck with stock. Ordinance: In CoD the care packages you get can effect the gameplay. So things like nukes, EMPS or spy planes. In Halo 4 it's pretty much small time things. Which are weapons and power ups. You don't get anything that can kill for you or something that shows the entire enemy team on your HUD. Also Halo 3 has dual wielding. So by your logic that game is a CoD clone because CoD also has that. But I forgot that game doesn't count on the Halo 4 hat bandwagon.

 • But it doesn't matter because it's something that CoD uses. Because after all CoD invented everything. Even though Mario had sprint before CoD came out. CoD somehow went back in time to be the first game to do it. (I know, but I'm just making fun of the people that think CoD came up with everything.)

 • No, the gameplay, with the right settings, is reminiscent of classic Halo with better hit detection. Seriously. Go Custom Game searching and find a no-sprint game type and try a forge remake of a Halo 3 map. It's the same thing, but better. Enjoy, and hopefully, I've changed your mind on how bad the "gameplay" is.
