Dead Space didn't scare me.

I bought Dead Space 1 and 2 during the summer sale, and just finished the first one. I had heard alot about these games, and that they were freaky the whole way through. While I don't deny a profound sense of vulnerability, or the fact that it was a great game, I couldn't help but feel less frightened than I should be. Thoughts?

  • The first one is the only one that has a few legitimate scares, but mainly just a lot of cheap jump scares. The series gets increasingly less scary as it progresses, with DS2 mainly being a grating pain in the ass (dumbass Ubermorph thinks it's scary when really it's just annoying). DS3 I'm not even going to get into...
