Yup im pretty much thinking about skyrim when i thought of this. But still, i think it would be neat to have some in-game literature, perhaps in a library or somewhere. Or perhaps make them rare and collectible like skulls.
Hearing it from the scenery/data pads/word of mouth would be great too of course.

...or terminals, sometimes you'll have to reboot and/or hack to access info/unlock pathways. Also like the idea of unlocking info and potential in items you own/find as you progress.

Oh Hell yes!!!

I'd really like to see lore told similarly to both elder scrolls and dark souls / demons souls. Both lore books and special items, gear, and weapons that have stories in their it description
-
I think it would be cool to see popular books right now or in the past hidden throughout the game, relics of the past.
-
I wouldn't mind things akin to Mass Effect's Codex. Your info is updated as you find new bits of lore. You can either dig in or just ignore it.
-
Maybe there is an archive or 2 on different planets and a main archive in the tower
-
well the halo games had the terminals so I don't see why not
-
Im surprised people are voting no, why would you not want more ways to learn about the lore?
-
Considering Destiny will be set 700 years in the future, books will probably be obselete, but I'm all for reading a captain's log in a ship, or a dead civie's blog or some such thing.

I would love Skulls that people could find spread across the solar system.
-
Instead of books, I would like little bits of lore in items/weapons/armor A few history lessons from NPCs conversations or small files (like ME) would be enough for me
-
I'd rather the scenery tell the story.
