  • Neil Armstrong after his walk on the moon, crying from the magic that had just happened. Everything he and many others would ever accomplish would be dwarfed by what he had just done. He had just personally created history, doing something that would be remembered for the rest of human existence. The entirety of human evolution, and the centuries of work from his scientists and engineers and their predecessors, and the impossible feats of human creation that had all brought him to this point, to the very pinnacle of human accomplishment, were staggering to try and comprehend. And all his training and all his responsibilities to himself and his to crew and to NASA were drowned out completely in that moment by the magnanimity of the meaning of what had just taken place. Words failed even the speaker of the most iconic phrase in the history of exploration, giving way to only tears. This may not be in the spirit of "SPACE MAGIC" that DeeJ is asking for, but this... This is real space magic.
