  • The day: Halo 2 Release (UK). Head over to a friends house to play the game, we're stoked. Get inside; pizza, crisps, the works. Turn on 15" television, Turn on game, watch cutscenes. My god its good. On Cairo Station; (Legendary) Covies breaking down the door, they burst in! We hail fire down upon them from our dual smgs, we stare at their corpses on our 7.5" screens. We have held off the invaders. "This game is awesome" we think. We high five and continue on. *Playthrough 1/17. <3 Bungie. Thanks for a great childhood.

Gotta be the first time me and three of my friends got together and played through Halo: CE on Legendary in on run. The yelling and anger when someone -blam!-ed up, the joy when we finished the level and continued to the next, I hope that Destiny will bring moments like that back to us as we get back together and enjoy a new era of Bungies amazing story. Hopefully we will make new friends and get to enjoy moments like the ones we had in halo as well. See you starside fellow Bungie members!

  • Halo 1 LAN about 2 years ago. We ran the gambit on TVs. 1 brand new 3D TV, one newer CRT, one old computer monitor, and one 25+ y/o wood framed monster we call Bertha. The detail differences across the TVs were astounding but we all realized that halo CE has a similar feel; nearly 12 years old and still better than many FPSs today.

My favourite Bungie gaming moment was back when I was like 7. My best buddies Simon and Gordon and I used to play my dad’s old video games in my garage, on our big white computer. Now one of those games happened to be the tank shooter Desert Storm. My favourite moment was when one day we were fighting a giant head...and the head started flipping and turning negative and having seizures, as kids we thought this was a 'hack' and thought this was the coolest thing to ever happen to us. Possibly the best times of my childhood…

  • So my friends and I were doing the recon armor challenge. We got together at my house and set up some TVs in my office. We finished the ODST challenge and started doing the final mission on Halo3 on legendary. My kid woke up in the middle of the night cuz we were making too much noise. We were almost to the end of the mission and were so pumped that we were about to get recon armor. Suddenly, as we were about to finish, my kid trips over a cable, turning off one of the consoles! Yeah I was kinda pissed but it was funny.

  • So my buddy came down from Ft Benning for an extended weekend so we played a marathon gaming session of Halo a few years back. He crashed at my place, and we did a marathon gaming session that started at 6pm Saturday, then we stopped to make a Dunkin Donuts run about midnight or so and came back and continued on til about 10am the next morning with only a couple of breaks inbetween (longest gaming session ever) before he had to leave (on no sleep) to head back to Ft Benning Georgia from Florida to get back on time.

In Halo CE, in the second stage when you have to activate the light bridge to get over the chasm. My buddy stood at the edge, looking down: "What are we supposed to do now?" I told my buddy it was an homage to Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and you just had to have faith that the bridge was there. He was floored at the reference... until he plummeted to his death. He's never let me live it down and we still laugh about it today.

  • On this day a friend and I found ourselves in a good old ‘Big Team Deathmatch’, Halo 3, Sandbox forge variant. It started off like any other match, I got a few kills, a few close calls and suddenly I noticed, 10 Kills no deaths. What was this madness? Two thirds to a perfection? Insanity. So I went for it. Long story short, after cowardly cowering in our base, only popping out to steal kills with the BR, and my friend kept threatening to betray me the whole time, I succeed! I need better friends though...

  • One of my favorites is trying to get the "Endure" Achievement in Halo 3: ODST. Being the Last man alive in the later rounds and trying to stay alive long enough for the invincibility to ware off on the Brute Chieftain with the Hammer so you can try to kill him to revive your teammates.

  • A few friends and me had been playing Sandbox on Halo3, on some custom map, Runaway. We were having fun running from the infected. There was a part of the map that had pallets as a bridge, and a fusion coil. When it came down to it there was only one survivor and one infected. The survivor was running across the pallets and the infected tried gravity hammer jumping and the blast hit the fusion coil, which, was sent flying across the map and hit the survivor- splattering him. Love, lazarus923 Can I haz R3conz? (H3 vertans will understand)

  • Well my friend and I were playing halo reach and versing 2 noobs on sword base in custom games and they knew they couldn't beat us so they changed the settings so they had over shields on.. Energy swords and shotguns . And we had hardly no health and only pistols ... Well I don't know how but we beat them and they quickly blocked us after that

There was one time in Halo 3, me and my friends were having a load of time with explosives. So we made a map where things(mainly bombs) were constantly falling from the sky. It was so insane that after a couple minutes of chaos it literally crashed all of our Xboxs. This was while playing Baseball with rockets and gravity hammers too.

I have loved Bungie ever since halo 3. Even when I didn't have an Xbox I played it with my cousins we had a blast with all the custom games in halo. Bungie got me through hard times with their games and I honestly can say they are the best company in the entire gaming industry.

My friends and I used to make maps in Halo 3 and play custom games infection on them. We set it so zombies are maxed out on speed, but a one hit kill. We would build these maps with tight hallways, holes in the roof, and light filters to add to the fear and suspense. Whenever I became infected, I would use my super zombie speed and jumping ability to hunt my prey. If a kill was close, and a survivor was almost within reach of my incredibly long H3 sword lunge, I would break my silence and screech into my microphone like a banshee from hell! REEEEEEAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! I would have them know true fear before they died. And they did know fear Bungie, they did...

  • Christmas Eve of 2007 and I was killing time by playing H3 multiplayer. I kept running into this guy every other few matches and he was annoying [gameplay, not voice]. Eventually I got on my mic and we had a go at each other. Over and over and over until we finally ended up on the same team. We kicked so much butt and became an unstoppable duo. In 2011 we were married, and Halo/Bungie has, and always will be, an very important part of our lives.

  • there are so many good stories of when i played my very first bungie game it all started when my grand-father died and he was in world war 2, and me,my friends and relatives found his video-game collection becuase his child-hood was very bad and he didn`t do many thing so his entire life he was a child inside and he left me his halo 1 and 2 and i was like " i miss him" so i played them and they were amazing and when i say his coffin i hugged it and left them with him and that moment he introduced me to the best game ever "HALO" and now i will continue his legacy by playing destiny for pc,ps4 and xbox one .

  • Back when I was about seven or eight, my cousin (who was older by two months) came over everyday that summer. Earlier that year his parents had gone through a nasty divorce and his dad just left him. So everyday when he would arrive we put in Halo 2. It was the only game we played that summer, we would sit for hours on end playing through the campaign (which we had already done ten times), only stopping to eat. Halo 2 definitely cemented our love for Halo, and now even at 17 years old we still will sit for hours on end playing through the latest Halo game.
