Because I was on a time constraint, as well as under dressed for the situation. It wasn't my ladder, and if there was a chance that he had no idea it had fallen off, then you bet your pretty dress I would have pulled over and picked it up. But he knew, and everyone knew he knew. That's where the problem arises.

Agreed. But you brought up a good point, even >I< was too complacent with it being his fault, and I didn't solve the problem either. It really is a flaw of humanity....
