I had to, and I remember it was a ridiculous, complicated (especially if you didn't have a Linksys router), and necessary process if you wish to connect to half of your friends list on xbox live.
and now i have to do it again, and i still can't get it to work

I don't think I've ever had to change my NAT settings. They don't sound fun, either.
-
I'm at war with it right now.
-
I have few problems with it, it only switches to moderate when both of my parents have their smartphones and computers connected to my home's network. That's when I have problems online, and they're both baffled as to why.
-
lol, fixing NAT is the easiest thing ever. You set your device to a static IP, and you open the required ports to that IP. That's it. Why people think it's difficult is beyond me.
-
Well, mine switched from open to moderate a few weeks back, couldn't talk to my best friend anymore... Suddenly switched back to open again last week. I have no idea.
-
I've never dealt with changing my NAT, as it seemed to change itself. /doesntknowwhatsgoingon

Every. Single. Day.
-
All the damn time "Your NAT is not open" I had a Belkin router, and recently replaced it with another Belkin with dual band. No more NAT problems for me (:
-
Yes... Though a router replacement later down the line solved everything.

NAT can be a bitch.
