It is a better experience for hard core gamers.
Think of the extra controller options we will have (Confirmed/implied during the event) . Shift your controller to the side or tilt it to the side for an action such as side dodge or tilt slightly from cover. How about a shift down, making your character duck? Shift forward, a leap or gesture such as middle finger. ect.... Kinect has alot of potential. No need to blindly hate it.

I'm not blindly hating it. And you don't need a camera to give the controller a tilt function. Oculus Rift > Kinect

The Wii sensor pretty much is a camera, just like the Kinect. Both of their cameras sense movements.

Except the kinect records sound, 1080p video, heat, etc.
