  • Why did you use plural pronouns when referring to the singular Protagonist? I didn't finish reading, because I couldn't get through the first few paragraphs before going back and re-reading a few sentences. It seems like you've got a solid story, I just had difficulty reading it. If you fix it the pronoun-antecedent agreement, and I'll re-read it and give you a full critique.

  • It is because I don't want to use he or she yet, names and everything are going to be revealed later.

Still, using a plural pronoun for a singular antecedent makes little sense. You should use 'it' instead of 'they'. It's grammatically correct and makes the story easier to follow.

  • Most people don't refer to others as it but that seems like a decent idea.

  • Technically 'it' is applied to inanimate objects or animals, but since your protagonist is genderless, it makes more since to use a genderless pronoun like 'it'.

  • Alright, I'll keep that in mind.
