Bungie please do not implement hit markers or grenade indicators into Destiny, they are just not needed. I'm not saying that "IT WILL BE LIKE CALL OF DUTY WITH THEM" but I am saying that they aren't required to make a good fps game. 343 implemented them into halo 4 and it was okay but I would rather not have them in Destiny, Thank you.

No hitmarkers! No grenade indicators either! I liked that in Reach the only way I knew there was a grenade was when I heard that frag grenade bounce or the plasma make that charging sound.

Grenade indicators, good. Hit markers, bad. The absolute damnedest thing I hate in H4 is when someone who CANNOT know I'm behind a corner because I have Stealth on throws a grenade to check. They effectively use grenades as their eyes around corners, which is -blam!-ing shit. Halo is about awareness, not spamming nades. Likewise in Destiny, someone could do that with area of effect weapons and powers, and since powers recharge, there would be no recourse to that action. Lame. So, no hit markers.

11 RepliesGuess I am alone in LIKING grenade markers...if they aren't in the game, you will just have every player spam throwing grenades b/c they will be difficult for anyone even remotely inattentive to detect, and will just make the entire area a big F&%* fest of explosions. Sucks quite a bit of skill out of the game. With indicators, people will be less inclined to use them so often I would think. As for hit indicators....ehhhh I would like to know from what direction some sissy sniper made a failed crack shot at me from so I can run him down and own him. Sorry to run against the tide of this post =P but that is my opinion.

2 RepliesBungie please put hitmarkers into the game, I really like knowing if I hit somebody with a grenade from far away instead of being in the dark about it. And when I shoot somebody with a rifle from far away I would like to know if I hit them, so please put hitmarkers in the game. Oh also put grenade indicators in Destiny because I like seeing where the grenade is. Thanks.

There's already a minimal Heads Up Display you wouldn't want to know where you're getting shot from? To me some kind of indicator for bullet direction should be implemented.

I think bungie should add every little thing like these into the games, but give us a choice to turn them off.

Agreed. They can just have bits of armor or splatters of blood fly off as hit indicators. And grenades are much more interesting when you have to watch out and inform your teammates of them.

I agree. Adding hit markers breaks the immersion of the game, and a game like Destiny is all about immersion. Grenade indicators aren't as bad, as you could implement some sort of grenade detecting program into armor in real life, but it takes away from immersion too, in that you don't have to listen for the sound of a sizzling grenade to keep you safe. It adds a sense of drama and suspense.

You toss a grenade at them to scare them out, and if you get a hit marker then you know he's there. I don't really see the benefit it having hit markers, to be honest. It's kind of annoying seeing them in every FPS now-a-days as well. Grenade indicators aren't exactly necessary, but if I had to choose between getting rid of grenade indicators or getting rid of hit markers, I'd choose the latter

I hope there's Shield Flare akin to Reach. Shield flare works just as well as hit markers. Also, no grenade indicators. Just keep the frags the same size as Reach, and we're good.

a small hint of a hitmarker to just accommodate the worry of knowing you actually HIT your target but yeah no grenade indicators~
