Terran Dominion vs The UNSC

In this battle between sci-fi human dictatorships the UNSC and Terran Dominion are able to fight each other due to a magic space portal or some shit that connects their universes together. The armaments of the UNSC are pretty common knowledge here so I won't bother going into detail about them. In order to give an idea of how things stack up I'll be comparing things that are similar to eachother. Part 1: Infintry [url=http://www.wallchan.com/images/sandbox/26488-marine-ultralisk-terran-zerg-video-game-games-gaming.jpg]First up is Terran Marine.[/url] The Terran Marine's armor is essentially a big bulky version of Mjolnir armor (utility wise) except it's more heavily armored and lacks shielding. Now at first you may think that this will turn out to be a disadvantage, however when you take into account what this armor was originally built to defend it's wearer from you'll see that it's more than capable to protecting it's user from the standard issue UNSC weaponry. [url=http://images.wikia.com/starcraft/images/c/c4/C-14GaussRifle_SC2_Phys1.jpg]Meet the C-14 Impaler Gauss Rifle.[/url] That's right, it's a fully automatic Gauss rifle that fires 8mm metal spikes capable of penetrating 2 inches of steel plating and can fire 30 rounds per second. Next on the infantry list is the [url=http://images.wikia.com/starcraft/images/8/8e/Firebat_SC2_DevStory1.jpg]Terran Firebat[/url]. The terran firebat, their armor is similar to the Terran Marines but more heat resistant. Their only form of weaponry is their wrist mounted flamethrowers so they in all honestly probably wont see much use unless the environment calls for cqc action. Even then though I foresee Spartans being able to overpower them while the UNSC marines are incinerated. For heavy anti-infintry and anti-light armor the [url=http://images.wikia.com/starcraft/images/2/23/Marauder_SC2-WoL_Story1.jpg]Terran Marauder[/url] exists. Marauder armor is basically the firebat armor only with the wrist mounted flamethrowers swapped out for wrist mounted grenade launchers. Again, another unit that is only going to see action under specific scenarios that call for their ordinance. Here come the [url=http://images.wikia.com/starcraft/images/e/ee/Reaper_SC2_Head2.jpg]Terran Reapers[/url]. Reapers are light and very mobile units that utilize jump packs, dual guass pistols, and G-4 cluster bombs. The role of reapers quite obviously is to engage in hit and run tactics and to harass and disrupt the enemy in any way possible. In a straight up fight these guys don't fair to well. [url=http://images.wikia.com/starcraft/images/7/74/Medic_SC2_Rend1.jpg]Terran Medics[/url] support the front lines by applying instantaneous medical treatment through surgical lasers while in the midst of combat. Armor is a lighter version of the Terran Marine armor and a massive shield on the left. Only form of weaponry is a flash bang grenade launcher. Special Operations: [url=http://sc2pod.com/img/gallery/922.jpg]The Ghost[/url] Ghosts are psychically gifted individuals who have been kidnapped from their families at a young age to be trained as special forces for the dominion. Think Spartans with the ability to read minds, cloak, create EMPs, and have the possibility of having other psyionic powers (the most common of which is the ability to project thoughts and urges into others). The most common weapon used by Ghosts is the C-10 canister rifle that can be used as either an automatic weapon or an anti personnel sniper rifle. However they are able to use a wide variety of different weaponry including combat knives, energy blades, shotguns, assault rifles, sniper rifles, and trained to use things such as tactical nuke launchers. This is the end of the infantry section. From my brief overview of the Terran Dominions infintry it seems that while the Terran Dominion may be very dominate in the roles that it's various powered combat suits were designed for they lack the versatility and mobility that the UNSC marines, ODSTs, and Spartans have. The only Dominion unit so far that's been able to match and exceed the UNSC in both versatility and mobility is the Ghost. So based on the infantry section alone who do you think would be able to win in a war between the UNSC and Terran Dominion so far? Can the UNSC overcome their offensive and defensive disadvantage through the versatility and greater mobility of their forces? Or will they be ground into dust by the superior armory of the Terran Dominion? The next section dealing the vehicles might be up later tonight.
