Why am I getting blue gear at 550
Just started the campaign on legendary and made it out of the Star Wars homage garbage chute only to get blue gear from the rewards chests. Please tell me this is a bug?

Once Bungie decided not to change the light level for this campaign, they should have given proper gear and not blues.

It’s for all new players in case they missed the catch-up chest. You get a free 300 power armor set from the first chest.

Conquest missions a stuffed full of silly mechanics to make it unfun to play take sunless cell just wait until you hit the final boss room 1st, 2nd damage gates are fine 3rd is a different story I had to turn it off hard mode crota was eaiser than that BS. its like they don't want you doing anything solo. Cursty portal system is still active and the new defance mission is boring as hell, pvp from what I've been told is a no go zone.. I want to play conquest mode by I've been soft reset yet again and with the new quite frankly boring grind to unlock artefacts.. I don't feel I can. After playing tonight playing it just felt disjointed, rushed, weighted towards changes in favor of elongated play-time Steping out until dawning lands is starting to look like a very attractive proposition.

Free power without the benefit of gear...for me half the game is the climb... giving out free light is stupid... Just balance the drops to be more consistent shouldn't be that hard...(Easier said than done I know)

Ya this game feels really strange now lot of odd stuff. Like parts of the game are just ignored. You go to any of the planets and you get old weapons and armor at 200 power ? Like why even bother doing Public Events and Lost Sectors and no Bounties, it's the Portal all or nothing.....

Not a bug. It's pretty standard for the legendary campaign. Chests in the legendary campaign have always given blue gear but at higher power levels than the normal campaign would. It's intended that anyone playing the legendary campaign would infuse the high powered blue gear that drops into their legendary gear so they can keep up with the increased power deltas as the campaign progressed. Thing is, they didn't reset the power lvl for this expansion, so anyone who is 550 going into Renegades will be getting 550 lvl blues as rewards from the campaign chests.

1 ReplyFirst chest gives a full set of blue armor at 300 level. It’s designed to help catch new players up. The second chest in the same mission gives normal loot

Campaigns are used for leveling, not getting high tier gear. Was like that in Final shape and EOF too.

It should be a complete set for people who just picked up the game to make it up to 300.

1 ReplyFirst chest in the campaign gives a blue. The rest give tier 1-3 legendaries on normal and VERY rarely tier 4 and 5's on legendary difficulty.

Because the campaign was supposed to be used for leveling. You get tier5’s after main missions.
