To be clear, this does not apply to the reprised raids weapons.
1. Collective Obligation: This weapon is far too demanding of your whole loadout. If you want to use it, you MUST use void, and you MUST be using consistent debuff sources. A weapon is an accessory to your build, not the base for it. This gun should be reworked in a way such that it can apply its’ own debuffs based on the type of enemy, and leech it from there — similar to the idea of “Adapting”, not unlike the Sundered Doctrine weapons.
2. Tarrabah: This gun doesn’t need too much of a change, just completely remove the loss of energy upon switching weapons, or allow it to scorch in Ravenous Beast form. The gun’s value does not align with what it demands of your playstyle (Not switching weapons at all). I could get more value out of hot-swapping to an Area Denial GL and get more damage out of that, than from Ravenous Beast. I also find the solar damage resistance completely obsolete. This is an aggressive gun, high-risk high-reward. Either make the damage resistance reduced but across the board, or remove it and give this weapon a greater buff in Ravenous Beast.
3. Divinity: Boy, where do I even start here… far too much work to acquire this gun, and its’ performance is a disgrace. The only usage I’ve ever seen out of this gun since Witch Queen is against Rhulk, and sometimes Warpriest. It’s a very cool gun, but just not strong enough. You’re losing out by using it instead of using your own damage build. What I propose is reworking its’ role, make it something more than just a mere support weapon. It needs some serious help for people to want to use it. It’s in the same situation as Well of Radiance; Nobody WANTS to use it, they’re forced to use it because nobody else will.
Bungie, please give these guns some thought, some love. A catalyst, even. Seeing a whole build with a gold border and then a white border raid weapon hurts me.
