Take out all the cameos and references that normal people under 25 won’t get (because nobody gives a -blam!- about x-men these days) and it’s a standard marvel film but with gore and better jokes.
Similar vibes to the recent Spider-Man film, cashing in on those of us old enough to get nostalgic over Gambit’s horrible accent and ‘that other Deadpool film’…
However in the end credits there was a shot of Halle Berry as Storm and I always wanted to be her as a kid.

I think it was a great movie, absolutely everything a Marvel movie should be with violence and action and Deadpool. The cameos were a nice touch, unnecessary of course but interesting to see them have a place briefly in the MCU. Deadpool is the Messiah of Marvel. This was a real MCU movie, not an MSheU ('the message') crap, good stuff Marvel, its been too long since Marvel made anything worth watching in theater...

I found it on yt, I only made it 20 minutes before I just stopped wanting to watch. The constant -blam!- thing was just off putting for me.

Edited by Sumpig-2: 8/5/2024 8:36:58 AMIt was a pretty good movie. (Golden for a nowadays Marvel movie imo)
I wasn’t expecting anything too great and the movie was pretty much just a device to get Deadpool and Wolverine fighting in the same movie with comic costumes as well as some nostalgia and giving Gambit a movie. Still made me laugh. Having watched most of the old fox marvel movies as a kiddo (and not understanding most of them), the cameos were still entertaining.
7-8/10, probably a top movie for the year as well. Definitely the busiest. Working at the theater meant I knew about the post credits (unavoidable, really), which I believe made Johnny’s scenes much funnier rather than ruined it.
The Cavilrine tho lmao
I haven't watched a superhero movie since Avengers 2 and I will not break that trend anytime soon. I sincerely hate consumerism.

It's definitely a 1 and done kind of film. Good to see Hugh Jackman back as wolverine and seeing all those classic characters was cool but it wasn't that good. Half of the movie was Deadpool and wolverine fighting each other and wolverine saying stfu. The end credits scene was the best part of the whole movie.

Yeah from what I've heard it's a one time watch and nothing more. -
I intend to see the movie but not until it's on Disney+; I have no desire to spend movie theater money on something that'll likely be streaming in a few short months anyway. Thank you for the review though.
