I’m a Gunslinger main and I can confirm this. I use Lightweight, and it’s basically an instant win when paired with a HC. People do Bow swapping, but just using Lightweight knife and a 140 is even better. Heavyweight is also ridiculous. The tracking is insane and the subclass synergy is amazing. The startup time is just too slow for me personally, but it’s definitely still in the top 3 of ranged melees. I mean it one taps, has crazy tracking, refunds your dodge, refunds itself, and grants a damage buff. Like bruh. And Explosive Knife is also excellent in a competitive environment, as it can hold a lane and tag a player trying to flank. I think the only thing holding it backs is its lack of subclass synergy. It can’t scorch unless you’re using Caliban’s, so it really only does what it’s meant to do and nothing more.
