Earlier today I was investigating why my gamechat doesn't work on PC. Specifically how I can't hear my fireteam but they can hear me. The little megaphone voice icon is there but it always stays gray even when they speak (which I cannot hear). After making sure that my headset/mic was set to default in both my PC settings and Xbox overlay I figured something deeper was going on. I had my brother log onto my PC and we tested game chat out for him and it worked perfectly fine. So it's not my PC. I then tested it out on my Xbox. The issue is still there where I can't hear anyone. So I figure that there is something wrong with my bungie account. Is there a setting that I may have flipped that disabled access from me hearing other players in game chat through my bungie accounts settings? Am I being affected by some type of ban? I would really like insight on this if anyone has experience, as bizzare as it sounds. TLDR: Audio issues, I can't hear my fireteam but they can hear me. It has something to do with my bungie account.
