Any good tower defence game has this feature, a simple vote to skip the lengthy timer that is imposed on us every couple of rounds in onslaught.
-
I'm convinced anyone against this is a bot
-
Terrible idea. Sometimes that little break lets supers and abilities refill.
-
Completely agree. The break every couple rounds gets pretty annoying, especially when trying to keep buffs like heat rises/devour/BoW/armor charges. Would be nice to have a vote to skip it, also considering you generally wont buy anything until round 40 anyways.
-
Yeah. Who cares if you're teammates don't have enough Heavy, got spawned away from the ADU, or want to spend their scrap to make the next few rounds easier? Just drop a Tormentor with an Ogre wave, I'm sure you'll handle it just fine.

its like 30 seconds dude
-
The number of people against this basic feature are brain dead ong…
-
we only need it after chest rounds...............
-
Boh yea that would be awesome!
-
Couldn’t hurt - would love to see what wave I’m at at all times though - with the hud update coming in TFS I wonder if that’ll make it?
-
I’ve mentioned this since the beginning - it would be a nice option.
-
I agree. It's too long. Lessen it or abolish it.

Edited by Obi-Juan: 4/19/2024 1:38:01 PMI completely understand this suggestion if you're someone who has no patience and cares about squeezing in an extra 2 minutes of runs but honestly, you should try getting used to just taking a breather. Have a little emote session, a drink of water, a snack before the next round... This timer is healthy for an activity that can be very long. As someone who has been farming 10 waves then resetting, this timer is the only thing that gives me the chance to quickly go to the toilet and come back. If I went afk mid round on legend, it would be GGs.
-
Have you heard of stretching? Water? Saying hello to someone? 😂😂😂 Opening a window?
-
The timer is to buy and upgrade defences, to help us beat the waves. So theres no way bungie will get rid of this and a bit confused why your complaining?
-
Seconded. Add a poll
-
I was just talking about this with my team. But I think it should only be skippable if all 3 players skip it. Like an interact item at the ADU and if all players do it the build phase ends
-
Is there a break in the 50-yard dash version?
-
I feel like trolls would abuse that. I would just reduce the timer. It would also be very helpful if there was a bank system like in titanfall 2 frontier defence where you could deposit any excess funds you have so other teammates could add it to theirs and get more bang for your buck.
-
Basic features are a foreign concept to Bungie, which is hilarious because they originally made Halo, a series of games praised for how awesome their features are.
-
If theres one thing we can agree on its that we cant agree on anything.
-
Add a button to rush the next wave
and it allows you to summon the next wave even before you clear current wave for more bonus
Imagine the two players you get matched with voting to skip every time before you could place anything... -

Yeah, that's one of the things I don't like about it Putting on your best sitting emote and afk for 3000 million years -
Why not just snack on something for those 20 seconds? I get the point, but I don't think that's something that is ever going to get added to Onslaught. How would skipping the timer even work? I guess you could interact with the ADU and that runs a script to force the timer to conclude if everyone interacts with it, but besides bounties, most objective functionality is linear and rushing it or forcing it to skip things could also likely break things or perhaps even cause softlocks if no one is careful. Could be something that, depending on how they have the mode set up, could potentially require a large overhaul to the objective system, which I don't think is worth the effort for this if that's the case. I'm just being a negative nancy based on past situations with the game.

One of the worst suggestions in a long time! We need them for multiple reasons and I won't even get into a full rant with going through the portal back into the main area and being placed at the wrong ADU and having to run to the correct one only to not have time to upgrade anything. Let alone pick up heavy. Reduce it by 5 seconds maybe but anyone that wants it gone are probably the same people that love to run the first couple of rounds and then leave (yes I did do this once I admit it, it was a time issue - I was out of it and we went further then I expected)
