When I saw the TFS showcase I was genuinely pumped for all the possibilities that could come from titans but having read the possible builds, I think it’s safe to say Strand will still be meta.
In terms of running end game content, no banner of war / into the fray / grapple from strand honestly still leaves strand as the very likely meta in my eyes. It feels like there’s too much focus on crowd control and not enough focus on survivability or damage in end game content.
Anyone have any other thoughts on this ? Please change my mind

Please change my mind[/quote] Titans possess a few very strong abilities that cannot be utilized effectively in higher tier content due to the risk involved in using them. The new subclass takes those high potential abilities and provides primers to them. There’s a clear and well thought out prime and then detonate play style that has been presented to us in the information shared by bungie. For example, freeze or suspend a target and then follow up with a thunderclap or consecration slam. You can add on the new exotic class item that can roll with a perk that turns you invis on melee kills to give yourself an escape afterwards as well. On that same class item you can also have the melee adage increasing perk from the liars handshake exotic, making your abilities even more potent. On top of that there’s already a few very strong looking fragments such as radiant on melee hit or subclass buff on orb pickup that will also have synergy with these potential builds. Additionally worth noting that there are buffs coming to the aspects to make them stronger and more flexible. With them looking good already, it’s only going to get better. While all the new classes look like they will have strong combinations, titans have the most obvious and strongest looking combinations. It seems to be the reason why a large percentage of the gameplay shown during the gameplay reveal focused on titans.

Titan has the best options for prismatic. If people keep complaining about oh I want banner, banner will take a heavy hit and make it non viable anymore. Try something before you complain.

Everyone said the same thing about strand Titan looking bland and not as impressive as the other strand subclasses; now look at us one punching everything whilst having woven mail the entire time and being practically unkillable. -
Titans supers as a whole are always disappointing. The coolest one we got was burning maul back in forsaken. Ever since its been nothing but striker in different colors.
-
I remember people said the exact same thing about Strand Titan after the LF trailer, saying it wouldn't be viable and was just another bad Titan melee roaming super just for it to turn out to be amazing upon release. you guys really need to stop judging things before you get a chance to play with it.

Pve wise who cares Pvp tho we cooking boys

Maybe woven mail will stack with spark of resistance? I agree with your take that just on paper, the starting build does not scream survivability (unless Insurmountable Skullfort and knockout can work with frenzied blade? Maybe??) I’m trying that one out first, but not before testing my warlock with cold snap, arcane needle, and osteo with necrotic and that fragment that translates your kinetic weapon kills into the light meter. Will have to wait and see. May be obvious, I’m not too worried about the power of the starting builds. “Starting” for a reason I’m guessing.

They said they’re adjusting a lot of the stuff that’s included in prismatic so I’d wait before passing final judgement
-
I don’t know about you, but a Khepris Horn + Arbor Warden + Drengr’s lash is really tickling my imagination.

Play with the subclass first

I agree, arc and strand? Arc that was nerfed in to the ground when the complete subclass was nerfed all at once late last year and before that had a smatter of arc nerfs since 3.0. Then you have strand, banner war nerfed, suspension nerfed (which is what titan strand is built around). So if that's all it is mmm no don't look to me ether
