For a minute I thought you were going to say that it's basically an exotic with Thresh and (insert damage perk of choice), and then you mentioned Hip Fire Grip. So now, I have to agree with you AND point out the fact that it's just an Exotic with Thresh and (insert damage perk of choice).
And now I remember why I never use it.

Bad juju is a pulse with: thresh but the first few kills don’t count, [stacking damage increase from kills perk] but worse, subsistence but better, hip fire grip and that one green explosion that I saw proc once after 4000+ kills. The one thing it had going for it was that string of curses had a longer timer than rampage [i]with[/i] the catalyst, but now without the catalyst string is shorter than rampage
