Help removing and starting a new account
Hello,
I played destiny for a long time on xbox. I recently got a pc and wanted to start completely fresh from my steam account (new name, new everything). I had previously linked my steam account almost a year ago to bungie.net. I am now trying to start this new game, but no matter what I do, it has saved my old gamertag that I had saved to cross play. I have gone to linked accounts and removed steam before I did this, but now I am stuck with my old name for some reason, just a different 4 number code after. It also isn't allowing me to change my name, saying that I can only ever change it once. I don't want my old name anymore. What can I do to fix this? Why am I locked to this old gamertag?

4 RepliesHey there. If it is letting you enter a new name, then you still have a name change left. What's probably happening is that it is being rejected for some reason. When this happens, there's no feedback to inform you of this, it just won't go through. What are you trying to change it to? You may have to try something else.
