I think they've had something similar in the past but I might be wrong. And tribute does appear to be skilling the people playing the objective higher and is able to do that better than control. What I never understood about control, in addition to skilling the best clash players the highest, is why it would give the advantages that it would to lower skilled players, higher skilled players, and then have people running around with no shot registration only there to capture zones. You'd think the people capturing the zones would get the advantages over at least lower skilled players but that's not how it ended up working sometimes. Everything just started to function based on utility and without really any consideration for anything outside of the math the game was doing, when the player population got low. And for people to say stuff like that isn't what helped it get low is somewhat perplexing but not as much as you might think given that you can read posts about "cheating" and all these other things that don't really have all that much to do with whats really going on in the matches sometimes.
