Literally stupid. 1810 recommended and still getting destroyed at 1813 and enemies having sword symbols above them. I returned after a long break and I came back to find out in order to progress through the seasonal content I need to do the coil. bungie why do you do this? You force people to play ridiculously difficult activities to complete a seasonal story. At least lower the difficulty. I guess I'll once again leave seasonal activity. I'd probably need to be 1830 at least to even do any damage to a red bar. Pathetic! 😡

You need a solid meta PVE build that provides some kind of healing more than likely but its not required if you can keep yourself alive. I would run Solar for restoration, healing grenades fan knives and Blade barrage maybe with Gunpowder Gamble for high damage and some healing and with Assassins Cowl for Invis on Solar knife kills which also buff Radiant, Sunshot can be a great primary on Solar. Alternatively any Void invisibility build for survivability works as well. Void and Strand work together if you have the Season Artifact for Unravelling Rounds and Horde Shuttle while running Quicksilver Storm as your Primary, also as a Void subclass you proc Devour to keep you alive longer on Void kill while also getting Unravelling Rounds on Orb pickup. Use cover often, don't rush as time isn't important. The waves will get harder every time up to the fourth run. Always collect glass and kill the Glass Collector for the Platinum rewards. Coil is a High Risk High Reward mode, its not meant to be easy but its a great way to farm season gear and get Tokens for GM Nightfalls.

Here the two things.. 1 - the modifiers. Building into them with a heavy focus on survival & making the most of buffs. 2 - match-making. You have no control over this so have a look see & check what other players have equipped. It's easy to tell if they are aggressive or defensive players. Adjust your play style to compliment these Guardians. It's a tuff activity but if you plan ahead & don't get sloppy binning revives cos spikes, it's a very rewarding run. It's like a mash up of dungeons & NFs. You'll get out what you put in. And when you do hit a good match made team & the synergy flows, it's fantastic. I jus ran a fantastic rip with a cheeky Hunter & a wise Warlock. I had stasis turrets, Hunter was trapping & Warlock pit down the defenses & let us rip. It's worth slogging. When it falls right, it's amazing.

ridiculously hard? i go in there when bored just for fun and get easy loot. not sure where the hard bit is you speak of.
-
Literally playing guitar is too hard. I decided to become a guitarist so I bought a guitar and started playing. But it’s way to hard. Who ever invented that stupid instrument, you actually have to practice to get better. That’s what you sound like buddy. Don’t freak out after one coil run, it’s pathetic. Just practice and get better maybe? It’s not easy, but it’s not that hard either. Try using cover and strategy to stay alive.

Solo the coil in 40 minutes get good kid
-
No, it's not. Playing The Coil is fun, and rewarding. I'm not saying git gud, but take a look at yourself before you start complaining.
-
Play your build around tanker enemies. I would highly recommend builds with easy to access survivability features such as omnioculus void Hunter, synthoceps strand or solar Titan, assassins cowl arc or solar hunter, sumnbracers with heat rises and phoenix dive for resto x2, phoenix protocol warlock with touch of flame healing nades which you can extend with ember of empyrean. And the list goes on……

It starts at 1810 and ends on 1840. If you have a good build and gun's it's not that hard. But if you just have whatever on and expect to walk through like a patrol then yeah... . -
I really hate these comments haha I want the game to be more difficult lol
-
“Grr I’m bad at the game”
-
Skill issue.
-
Coil is great for farming. The higher levels are a little difficult but completely doable. Probably an issue with your build.
-
the coil is hard cuz it gives you massive amount of rewards, if you are bad at the game bungie gave you the tutorial mode
-
Wow massive skill issue

I don't know if it's hard or not. I played a bit of it but haven't even completed whatever mission it is waiting at the helm. I find that I can't really care much about it or the disaster of a story we've descended into.
-
Its 1840 at max.

Edited by GUARDIAN-IX: 3/29/2024 4:21:54 PMKeep on playing, you'll get used to it. Also, armor stats cap at 100.; you have two of them that wastes a third of a stats power. if you have seasonal engrams and you just burn them, then focus on the armor (with a ghost mod). It's not just about t light Level.
-
You are level capped. You can be 50 levels over the recommended but the game is going to throttle your level so you can’t stomp everything. The level difficulty modifier tells you the cap.
-
I never found it very hard. Sure… you can get teammates who waste ALL your lives (even on lfg…) but I’ve “heroed,” the final boss on my own before. I recommend using lfg if you want to get a platinum run. Matchmaking is simply too unreliable, due to the the varying degrees of skill and experience players have in that regard, along with what their own personal objectives are.
-
You do know you don't have to do a full coil run but you can farm the first round which does progress the quest That being said, it has matchmaking and if you play cover well it shouldn't be that hard
-
Due to complaints they decided with Lightfall to target a less casual audience.

It definitely needs to be easier… -
Attrition modifier is on this week which is horrible unless you are running Solar
