Cheapest laptop that can run Warframe?

T4R Some pos stole my Switch so now I'm without a gaming device. Rather than get another Switch, I figured I'd just get a laptop (more games and I can actually trade for Platinum on Warframe)

  • Building a pc would be cheaper and usually nets you a more powerful system. Though if it’s the portability you want, then maybe the steam deck might be a viable option. Warframe is steam deck compatible.

  • Best buy usually has good deals on open box returns, costco occasionally has decent deals, but the selection is limited. As others have mentioned, handhelds are great value if you don't care about also having a keyboard.

Honestly if you’re only fussed about playing games on it you will probably end up spending more money than if you were to just buy another switch. For the same money as a crap laptop that can run warframe you’d probably be better off buying a steam deck, as you probably won’t find something for less than about 6-700 unless you buy something second-hand. If ‘cheapest’ isn’t as important as you made out you can get a fairly ok ‘gaming’ laptop around 1300 or less if it’s on a deal. I got an ASUS TUF laptop the other year for a cool 999 which ran pretty much anything I wanted it to.

You might be able to find one under a thousand if you’re fine with using older non-ray tracing cards.

      • Should say on either Steam or their website.
I prefer console cause of the 25/50/75% platinum discounts on the shop purchases. (Far as I know, computer has discounts on buying platinum.)
