That would be finder bricks. There's a bunch of different types of bricks in this game one of which being finder bricks.
Finder bricks and generally bricks generated by Aeon/Cenotaph will grants much less ammo than a normal brick though it is kinda bugged since if I remember correctly finder bricks on linears should be generating 2 ammo all the time.

I did not know that finder bricks were substantially less. I still feel it's bugged or just dumb though bc I'll get 2 rockets off a finder brick from me or an ally running scout. I feel a normal brick (assuming scavenger) should be around 4-6 and a finder if it needs to be less should be 3-4. But ty for letting me know finder bricks are less!

It depends weapon to weapon how much finders generate and for some reason linears have always suffered horrible ammo drops from them but when Haunted came out they dropped from 2 ammo to 1 ammo per a finder brick. Another weapon that suffers from finder bricks is Anarchy which also for some reason gets 1 ammo and the occasional 2 ammo versus a normal gl basically always getting 3-4

Yeah me and my teammate were both running cataclysmic and spent 20 min getting heavy after first run up the spiral .... but it's definitely an issue cuz rockets I get +2 off of finders and obv a single rocket shot is worth much more than a single linear shot
