Like title said, even before /join was changed to instead using your bungie name, my join code hadn't been working for a while. Hoping the change to it requiring bungie name to work would fix it, I waited. It's now been years since my /join has worked, I can never make posts in discord LFG servers because people can never join on me, making it so that my experience is entirely at the mercy of there being people wanting to do exactly what I want to at the time that I'm looking so I can join on them instead. I know I could make posts using the companion app instead, but I personally don't like using the app that much and would much prefer to stick to community discords.
I've tried to see if it was my NAT type, I've verified fireteam privacy settings and even looked for any bungie account settings that could be causing it, I'm even on a different internet than the one that I had a year ago. Friends and Clanmates can join me just fine since they can use the in game join function, but anyone attempting to use the /join command, including aforementioned friends and clanmates, can't join on me.
At this point I've long given up trying to make it work, but today I had a particularly bad time finding a group for what I wanted to do, and thought maybe the folks at Bungie can help me out...
PLEASE HELP ME BUNGIE THIS IS DRIVING ME INSANE
EDIT: viiTactiiCZz has the solution for anyone that has a similar issue! Thank you once again!

Do you have any linked platform accounts that aren't displayed on your profile other than your Steam? check under bungie.net->settings->account linking If you do, can you unlink them then restart D2 and retry the /join
