Poor internet connection suspension!

I have submitted a ticket for this and it’s been a month and no answer. We live in a rural wooded area and the only internet that reaches us is satellite. T-Mobile started a home internet and we were on the edge of it. Well we get 2 bars 5G on a good day most of it is 4g and poor signal but we can use it. My son loves crucibles and is very good but the internet is unstable at times and received a suspension for poor internet. This would be his first but something I don’t understand is why have we all gotten it? We all use the same internet and we all play together and get kicked off about the same time. Can anyone help with this? Obviously no one can help with the internet it is out of our control. I can’t make the signal come in stronger from the towers. So why punish us? A point in the right direction would be appreciated my son is very upset he is suspended this long for really nothing under our control!

Please read all the info on the page before submitting the form at the bottom. Please note that while every appeal is reviewed by Bungie Security Staff, as mentioned in the article, there is no guarantee for a response, nor is there a guarantee that the ban or restriction will be overturned. Here are some suggestions that may help with connection issues:

1. Use a wired connection rather than Wi-Fi 2. Quit any program or turn off other devices that are streaming 3. Clear your console cache or, if on PC, verify the integrity of your game files. 4. Power cycle your internet router 5. Improve your latency and packet loss 6. Follow the Network Troubleshooting Guide for best optimizing your connection to Destiny. If issues persist, try the Advanced Steps Networking Guide for possible router solutions, such as enabling UPnP or changing your NAT type. 7. Enable IPV6 on your router to see if that helps

• On the T-mobil app there is a setting that lets you change frequency of the internet box, you can keep it on auto or 2.4G or 5G . Keep it at 5G and see if there is no more spikes because on auto it keeps going back and fourth.

      • SUSPENSIONS are 30-60mins and placed automatically. Restrictions are 2weeks-months and placed manually by the security team.

        • Counter point Why should your bad/unstable internet be allowed to ruin it for the other 11 players? It’s listed what the connection requirements are…so if you can’t exceed the minimum, then do the respectful/responsible thing & not play those modes to ruin it for others who do have viable internet connections.

Knowingly making pvp unenjoyable for everyone else in the lobby is a very selfish thing. While you may not like it, Bungie is punishing you to save the experience for other players. Your son, will have to learn to be restricted if they insist on playing with a connection that does not meet the minimum requirements for speed and or stability.
