Destiny will never be balanced but arguably you can use anything nowadays. My only complaints would be wishender seeing through walls in pvp, should not be a thing at all and sniper shooting through flinch

7 RepliesI'm just not a fan of fusions. It's very powerful for little work put in. Exotic fusions are understandable and fun. But there's not a single legendary that feels under B+ tier. shotguns still feel rng when it comes to damage output. Snipers also still feel like a mad scientist spliced them together, still hitting in situations they have no business hitting (hitboxes being super forgiving at times and then other times ghost bullet central even on torsos) So really special ig comes down to connection issues that the game with forever be plagued with. But on the aspect of primaries. It really is fun. Smgs are a bit over reaching their ranges. But sidearms keep them in their place in cqc and rapidfire pulses do from mid. So. 🤷 idk that's my deal with sandbox currently

21 RepliesFusions are too strong too. They either need a charge time nerf or a range nerf.
-
6 RepliesAutos are overturned and soon its all anyone will use. Oh you hates smgs and immortal, how about that playstyle extend to up to 36 meters. Honeymoon is almost over
-
Ain't no balance in pvp for sure. In iron banner it was all fusion and grenade launchers.
-
7 RepliesWeapons I think 450’s autos need a range nerf and maybe sidearms need something to compete with the dominant smgs. But these are minor.

Sure you can use anything but that doesn’t equate to balance. When you have a gun that only requires 3 hits to get the kill compared to a gun that requires 20 hits to get that same kill that’s not balance When you have 50 weapons that can one hit kill this is not balance. When you have a hand cannon out ranging a scout this is not balance. BTW I’m gonna consider melee as a weapon, 2 punches shouldn’t equal 15 shots to the head Bungie doesn’t know the meaning of the word balance

Immortal Adept still needs it's Nerf. the insta-kills are getting old. Fusion rifles need to be dialed back too. Outside of that, not too bad.
-
Agreed other than Wishender. It's a non-issue. No one is using it outside of meming in 6s

Edited by ㅤ Avvor: 9/13/2023 12:55:35 PMCmon realistically there’s at least 7 outliers that are unabalenced in the current sandbox

How about the people with a console and pc and dropping 60 kills in a 1.5 lobbie?!?! Having no recoil and doing instant 180s Why cheat on pvp it’s major cringe
-
1 ReplyWtf? Hunter has exotic to see thru walls .that shouldnt exist too
-
Yeah you can use pretty much anything. I see players having success with all types of weapons (except glaives — very rarely see them).
-
4 RepliesI'd say smgs handcannons and 450 autos are still hitting at too far ranges. That and something still needs to be done about monarch, though they can't really touch it much more.
-
I always forget that thing sees through walls and will be borderline thinking okay now I'm actually seeing cheating. Thanks for the reminder. The sandbox is a lot more balanced than it's ever been in terms of weapons. And all the classes have abilities now when before it was usually you needed to switch to the "strongest class" if you wanted to ensure that you did well. Just being able to use a lot more things in pvp is a ton of progress.

17 RepliesYeah, right! Not until they dial in hand cannon range. Hand cannons are not supposed to outgun scouts at 40m.
-
5 RepliesI’d also put that SMGs are still a bit too potent and easy to use. Other than that I’d agree. I’d also say that Bungie really needs to do something about people using external hardware. They aren’t in every match, but every 4-5 matches in IB right now there’s one and it just ruins the lobby.

I haven’t had the incentive to play it in a while now. Guns can be in a good spot, but the abilities available are keeping me from touching it anymore. I genuinely believe 3.0 subclasses ruined this game in a pvp setting

4 RepliesEdited by Adam_Clockwork: 9/12/2023 4:36:15 AMThere is a few things I want PvP to take out, and what PvP needs to learn. I know its futuristic for the weapons but Fusions... Bungie should least give us logic on way on how Fusions work.. Like Fusions are kind of like those grenade launchers that shoot multiple grenades but its now rapid fire (Hell look at Telesto its fits the description) but for all that's holy don't let the Fusions deal so much damage at such a far range. I have a Fusion that can still kill in 7 to 8m if anything 5m to 6m is the safest option. Second I agree with a few people Hand Cannons shouldn't shoot 40m but people need to understand doesn't most of the Hand Cannons shoot 45 Long Colt shots? That thing can still fire pretty far even for a normal gun. If we are going to be logical most things in this game doesn't make a lot of sense but it does match up the real life world gun system just a few need to be tweak correct but if that's ever gonna happen Bungie would need to shoot some guns themselves. (And I am sure they do) Yet here's what makes it hard if you take at least one thing away from the game mode it will completely change the game mode as a whole. Look at Gambit as a prime example you could still get Heavy just not a fast once you get Heavy from every area clear you have enough to wipe anyone off of the face of the Earth or Planet. Take Heavy away again, and I am sure people would enjoy the old Gambit coming back yet you will still have many people complain its to slow similar to how if you take something away or nerf for PvP purpose people will complain its not "Usable or Reliable anymore". The fact is too this is also Bungie doing these changes because they also play the game (Possibly not a lot but they do play it time to time) If they see it as an issue then they will change it yet if a player sees it as a issue they need more reports to make it into a problem. In short Bungie will not balance the game properly until it becomes a problem, and not like a little problem like this weapon needs a nerf or buff I mean a major problem like "Oh no the game is unplayable". There is a split place here for PvP, and that split is majorly getting the favor because of Bungie seeing them as the right people to go to. (Yes that includes certain Twitch/Youtube people out there)

Agree about snipers. Need to add more flinch when being shot when ads.

Controller aim assist needs looking at on pc
