I've been playing Destiny 2 since the beta back on my PS3 when I was 11 years old. I'm 20 now and have never come across an issue so infuriating that I'm genuinely done with this game permanently after the thousands of hours and thousands of dollars I've poured into it. I played on xbox for awhile once D2 came out. No biggie, but at some point I got a laptop and steam account just to play this game. That was around the start of Forsaken so its been about half a decade since I did that. I never touched my xbox afterwards, but enabled cross-save like a year later once it became available because I wanted all the items and gear I had on my previous account since I hadn't actually played much on PC yet. None of my silver transferred over (go figure), but none of my items did either, not even my characters. Basically nothing actually cross-saved and I had to start from scratch. Which I was alright with because the game only came out like 2 years ago at the time. However, once I enabled cross-save my audio bugged out and I was unable to hear anybody in game unless I turned on my xbox and used my headset in game chat. So I havent been able to hear anybody when im just on my laptop for years, it started to annoy me today because I wanted to run an LFG raid on master but kept getting kicked because I couldn't hear anybody but they could all hear my microphone. Finally disabled cross-save today and you know what it does? Deletes, literally, EVERYTHING Ive worked on for the last 5 years off of my steam account, resets all of my -blam!- and transfers it all over to my xbox account, wipes out all of my actual xbox data. And due to the fact my xbox broke last year, I cant even play period. FOR 90 DAYS????? All of my stuff is gone for the next three months?? What the hell is even the point of that? So I just miss out on all the adept weapons that are coming in or out, the revised raid thats about to drop along with worlds first, all the eververse ornaments and cosmetics after I spent a month this summer just farming bright dust so I had enough for the next three months worth of cosmetics, all the dungeons, loot, titles, etc. etc. I'm sorry, but no. Hell no. I quit, if I genuinely don't get this resolved im done with the game. Stood by bungie all these years through every single error even when curse of osiris came out up until the story of lightfall flopped. But this is BY FAR the single, worst error that I have ever seen and I am not waiting three months missing literally everything until the next DLC, I'd rather quit and never come back. I'm pretty sure there isn't a fix to this without actual assistance from the dev team and I don't even think bungie developers read these things and I'm pretty sure its just the community helping so I'm mostly just using this to complain. But anything you got would be appreciated. Cheers boys, its been a long run, but Im pretty sure its time for me to lose my light for good.
