Let’s be honest with each other here. PvP in destiny has never been good. It has always been a dumpster fire. To call it anything close to good is kidding yourself.

To call it anything close to good is kidding yourself.[/quote] Nah, it has very good aspects, but Bungie, at least the team there now, has no idea what they are doing, or they can't do anything because of the engine. As in this game REALLY needs 5v5 modes for the map sizes. 6v6 only for the bigger maps. Right there it creates so many issues with how fast super proc that IDK anymore. Balance never seems possible. But as a Pulse/Sidearm main I can see the competitive aspects of this game, they just aren't pushed enough for cared for. 3v3 Elim is a terrible mode, and nobody really likes it, yet it remains somehow the center stone of their PvP game. It's laughable. And then matchmaking, and then artifact balance, and then Arc Titan, and then weapons now being too OP... Bungie just doesn't have enough resources on PvP to make very great. But it does have great aspects, and I know this because I have played just about everything out there. When it hits good, 6v6 in this game rocks. But as I said 5v5 would be much better on a lot of maps, and their core comp playlists should be 5v5 IMHO. Nobody wants to play 3v3 when the classes are completely imbalanced for that mode. Titans dominate ridiculously high in percentage for Trials, et cetera. Garbage in garbage out. Sony paid for Destiny basically, because it performs really well. It's their money, and the market is not easy. But dang Bungie really messed up PvP this season. 1.95 KDA in IB, but it's not pleasant, and on average I just leave games if they even show a hint of being lopsided. Not fun.

  • There’s a lot here in your comment that I disagree with. To start off with, the fact that you’re a pulse/sidearm main is probably a huge reason why you are experiencing what you are experiencing. Those aren’t good weapon types currently. Additionally, 3v3 is the only setting that truly makes sense. Arc Titans aren’t the problem as they are cut and copy ideals a lot of the time. The issue I feel comes in the fact that too many weapons are just one shot nowadays and somehow crucible has become a lot more scrubby than ever before. There’s a lot more fusion and shotgun use than I’ve ever seen before and that just seems scrubby to me. Snipers and fusions more aim assist than they’ve ever had before. It kinda just defeats the whole point of crucible when you can just one shot with a lot more weapons lately or if you get someone close, they just pull out a fusion or shotgun and it all becomes pointless. The whole idea of 6v6 works because that’s it’s purpose - to be quick play. It’s not meant to be about strategy too much at that level. That’s reserved for 3v3 where strategy is meant to matter. However, where it sucks is that noob blueberries keep invading comp game modes in droves and ruining the experience even further with their uselessness.
