Update 2 - SAT 3/25 4:52 PM Took a break to run some errands with my wife, cooling down now from being outside for a short while and wouldn't you know, the frame drops are back. Currently in the EDZ about to start farming the Lost Sector there and it's the expected micro pause that happens every 3 to 5 seconds. Also, I am monitoring any background processes that could be impeding upon Destiny, but the only other thing I have up and running is a licensed copy of malware bytes; I stopped it and the weird pause / frame drop continues. One way I track to see if this is happening is giving my Warlock a "spin" to view it in the character viewer screen. As they spin around you can see them do a pause / freeze as they rotate.

Update 3 - SAT 3/25 7:04 PM Per the recommendation of another forum member, I rolled back a recent Win 10 Update that apparently might be causing some performance issues; having done that and re-verifying the Steam files for Destiny 2 again seems to have stopped the frame drops for the moment. Again, until I can get a solid play session in where the game holds up I will continue to make additions to this journal thread. Just completed the Lost Sector in the EDZ with no issues; no jittering from my character in the inspection menu when spinning it around and no noticeable "pause" jolts while playing. Fingers crossed for the moment. Prior to logging into Destiny 2, I downloaded CONTROL from my steam library and played that with no issues whatsoever; max settings and ray tracing set to high in order to push some kind of issue and my system handled it well; no frame drops or jitteriness. I will add that I was playing other games fine with that most recent Windows update; Deep Rock galactic and the Diablo 4 beta as well.

Win 11 AMD Ryzen 5 5600 RTX3070 16g ram, M.2 500g 50fps /Reinstalling the game didn't help.
