Increase in disconnections or "error contacting Destiny 2 servers" messages since the last update

Since the patch on Thursday I have been experiencing a dramatic increase in disconnections. I have had the occasional disconnection message in the past, but no more than once every few days. Now I cannot make it through a single campaign story or matchmade event without disconnecting. At the worst I was getting error messages for contacting the servers every five minutes in an attempt to help someone beat Nezerak. Any suggestions on how to identify the issue or troubleshoot further? The Destiny servers seem to be showing green. Is anyone else experiencing this?

  • The update on March 16 slowed my game play to < 15FPS. Like I'm stick in mud on a 1GB broadband line. My network is up and speeds are crazy fast but the gameplay is horrible now. HELP!!!!!!
