You should have seen this coming. Crafted weapons are too strong and have devalued normal weapons. It's better to have less weapons to craft.

 • One, crafted weapons are barely stronger than a normal weapon with the exact same perks and masterwork. 99% of enhanced traits only have a marginal bonus over their normal versions, and enhanced masterworks only give a palsy amount of extra points to other stats, both to avert the very problem you just claimed existed. My IKELOS SMG having like 3 more Handling and 0.5 more seconds of Frenzy duration than some other guy's is so microscopic it may as well not be a thing. Two, while a weapon being craftable devalues randomly dropped copies of it, it only does so by a small amount - far smaller than most people seem to think. If you do want to craft a given weapon eventually, there's nothing stopping you from still keeping the best roll of it you get until you finish its blueprint by deepsighting or dismantling other copies of it, something I've done myself several times. If you don't want to craft a given weapon, then... great! Fantastic! Good news - you don't have to! Crafting is a completely optional system in its near-entirety, with all craftable weapons being available as random drops with the same (non-enhanced) perks and masterworks. Since enhanced perks and masterworks are weak anyways, the only thing you lose out on are mementos, which are purely cosmetic in nature. And even THOSE problems are going away in just two weeks from now, with Bungie having said in the SotG some weapons will be getting levels, mementos and enhanced perks as options.
