Addendum: With all these classes and subclasses, and 3.0, a supposed overabundance of optimized guns is even less of a problem. Just look at the most used weapons for Crucible, and the most used weapon archetypes for any end game PvE activities. Don't forget, Exotics exist too.
Come on, let me craft a Lodbrok or Herod if I want to. Or hell, even let me craft an Allied Demand.
Craft freaking everything, even. I paid over 60 dollars being hyped for weapon crafting only to be here at the end of the expansion and you haven't done nearly enough with it.
If Destiny is all about the guns, though, then I should be able to get my hands on any gun that I want, with the perks that I want. I will work for it. Random drops as they are right now are a flawed concept, because when was the last time anyone has picked up a Crown-Splitter or Quickfang? You can spend multiple seasons hunting a weapon and it'll only get rarer and rarer because you lose the ability to focus anywhere near those items. Let. Me. Craft. Them. Don't FOMO me. I pay money for this.
Edit: If I sound desperate, I am. It's less than two weeks to launch.

Edited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 2/14/2023 12:50:42 AMCompletely agree. I want MORE crafting. Not less. If feels so good to have some measure of control in getting the rolls I want. This will actually hinder build crafting, too. This one really bad take on their part has me questioning my future with the game.
