😂 wdym? If u appear offline, it appears offline in the game too. You can invite people that are offline anyway.

Your Bungie friends and clanmates always appear online in the Roster
-
Mine don't.
-
If my friends are appearing offline I can see them playing Destiny through the companion app.
-
If your in a clan and offline they will see u.

Mine don't.

If your "Bungie" friends, the app will say weather or not you're online regardless of platform status. Also, if you're in game and then set yourself offline, you'll still appear in the clan roster. If you dont want it to show, you have to close the game first, "appear offline", then restart the game. Other 3rd party apps like D2 checklist show who's playing as well.
-
There is a way(not gonna say how because I don't want to spread that info) that I can see anyone on my friends list who is 'appearing off-line' is really on-line playing destiny. . It overrides the players choice to appear off-line
-
Well I’m literally looking at the roster rn and everyone who is appearing offline in the same vc as me is also appearing offline in-game. Also why I’m asked to appear online for them to be able to join me.

The companion app shows all clanmates online on Destiny regardless of platform setting

Edited by Scratch: 2/1/2023 4:29:01 PMRight, but there IS a way to tell if players 'appearing off-line' are really on-line playing destiny. This defeats appearing off-line on your Xbox. Again, I won't say how, because I don't want to spread this info. Xbox 'You're friend's not playing' Destiny 'Oh, yes he is' Don't seem right to me. If your friend wishes to appear off-line for any reason Destiny should respect that and not blow his cover. What if you're getting stalked/ harassed? This IS the internet we're talking about

There is ways to deal with these kinds of issues other than being antisocial, you know? Pretty sure Bungo and your playing platform take these things pretty seriously.
-
I would simply block that person and move on if they were trying to harass me. The fact that you can still see people who are offline still playing Destiny 2 via the clan list is idiotic by Bungie.
-
Sounds like more of an x-box problem than a bungie problem. I use PlayStation and when I appear offline, it also appears offline in the game.
-
It’s the same on PlayStation. It’s your clanmates that you will appear online for in the clan section, regardless if you are offline or not. Been like that for most of D2.

Could be

When I appear offline on playstation. I appear online. So this dude is trolling ya scratch

OP is correct. They really need to address this after 8 fricken years.
