Dark Future is like a What If?
What if Anna Bray loses her ghost and turns nasty and Eris is the Which Queen? I would welcome this twist with open arms.

I'd say more Groundhog day for Elsie than a What If...? She's stuck in a time loop and every time she gets to change things until she reaches a new point. As far as we know she keeps resetting and the events of our timeline are just all added changes that she enacts.
