This is how they do things.
They introduce them in awful ways to waste everyone's time for a season or 2, and then they reduce the costs so they can consider that "content" for a season and people praise them for it.
Remember how bad crafting was when it was introduced with WQ? After a season or 2 they started to get rid of materials and lower the costs. But for that first season we all suffered and wasted a ton of time. This is no different.
They ALWAYS make things a long, horrible grind when they implement them. We will complain and the 2nd season of Lightfall they will nerf the costs. It's pathetic.

So let me get this straight. Y’all complain about having old drops being implemented and given as loot. “rEcYcLeD cOnTeNt”. But now that it’s a OPTIONAL avenue of acquiring OLD RECYCLED GEAR everyone is throwing a hissy fit. In what way is this not the biggest hypocrisy? Y’all complain about FOMO, y’all complain about recycled gear. Yet this is a problem now.

It’s recycled content. So why are people complaining about costs. Why is that the issue. Shouldn’t the issue be “why are you giving us optional recycled content” and not “why does old gear cost so much”? Like what? This is a Fomo change. The FOMO issue is partially being solved. Ada has old shaders, any other shader is being added as end of match drops, and now they are giving folks a option to acquire old gear.

Because of how little sense it makes for old gear to cost so much. They're going to recycle gear regardless, but when they do it, shouldn't it be easy to obtain since it's old gear? What are you arguing here exactly? You replied to me but haven't even said anything about my post since you've just gone off on a random tangent that has nothing to do with me.

Witch Queen crafting cost at launch was quite ridiculous. I’m with you. The changes made going forward were for the player. All the feedback and outcry has been more or less resolved. Hindsight is one of bungies biggest enemies. You think they would be able to tell community sentiment without anybody playing with it? Obviously not. Do I think they’ll lower the costs? Possibly. Do I think it’ll matter at all in the long run? Not at all.

The entire point of it costing more is that it’s a FOMO counter. “You weren’t there for it, but here is a avenue to get it since you missed it” If you release it at a obnoxiously low cost, people complain about “their time being for nothing”. Grinding those NF weapons can be ridiculously painful. This is a direct path to getting something you want. You want players time to feel valued? Here it is.

Trash? All Nightfall weapons except Comedian Riiswalker Occluded Finality Peacebond All the trials weapons. All mentioned aren’t trash. So out of all the legacy focusing, I didn’t include 4 weapons. Smfh.
