I made a few posts which looked at evidence of the Witness being the sapient/physical representation of the Egregor. I'd like to point out that fungus is a decomposer which relys on death (aka the darkness) to feed and thrive. Also there are a few types of IRL fungi that resembles the Witness. Candlesnuff fungi is one. Then the name Egregor comes from the old testament/Torah. It was the name of an Angle who could effect the thoughts of others. What's interesting is Angle are also referred to as "watchers" which is synonymous with witness.

  • Thats interesting. Im big into Torah studies but I've never heard of an angel called Egregore. Are you talking about the noncanonical books of Enoch? Those are the only writings that refer to angels as "Watchers", as the entire books expand in a fantasy sense about a few small verses. There definitely could be some inspiration there, but I still choose to believe the Witness witnessed something it is trying to forget, possibly witnessing the beginning of creation or being witness to all the pain in the universe.

And life equally, maybe it wants to use both halves of Light and Dark to render "the flower game" inexistent.. by that I'm saying no life nor death, no before or after, no more time or space, maybe the goal isn't to yeet all known life but to put a stop to them, their reign as gods, one goddess of creation.. and a goddess of death. Would make sense that the Witness is trying to "collect" what's necessary to off those above (and not really just us in particular, even though we will disappear as well since we can't exist if the flower game in play doesn't exist either) so that the back and forth life/death/war/famine/greed etc stops) Witness wants to build it's own Thanos pretty much, but instead of snapping the fingers for us, it's meant for the higher ones in charge.
