How do Grandmasters work?
I know it works like a normal Nightfall but all of the modifiers throw me off so it’s a bit confusing to me.
P.S. I never done a Grandmaster before.

5 RepliesHey bro, My brother and I can take you through a GM if you want, we like helping newer players acclimate to GMs. Let me know if you want to do a run.

This week's Nightfall, Lightblade, is by far the most difficult on GM if you are trying to do it. It's brutal if you've never tried a GM before. The other weeks in rotation are easier - some a lot easier

Hi there! Grandmasters are Nightfalls in "contest mode". By that, I mean that no matter what level you are, you will always be underlevel against the enemies in the Nightfall. There are also a number of modifiers, as you mentioned, that usually go with each Nightfall. The big thing I always keep in mind is the Champion modifiers (which tells you which Champions will be present), as well as the Shield modifiers. That should pretty much tell you what your loadout should be focused on.

5 RepliesHow is it confusing? The modifiers tell you what they do when you highlight them. You will be capped at 25 levels below the activity, this reduces your damage output and increase damage taken. You need to be a specific light level to enter. Adept weapons drop from GMs You will get kicked to orbit ( as explained by the modifier) if whole fire team dies. If you are struggling to understand anything else then feel free to ask.
