Destiny 2 will never have depth, because it goes against everything it has been engineered to do: generate profits via the bare minimum of effort. This game having quality content is no longer a priority for Bungie, and is now propped up by what is likely a skeleton crew of devs regurgitating old content long enough to garner enough profits to fund their other projects. Nothing else can explain what we're seeing.

Every 3 months we're getting a whole new armor and weapon sets to chase. Granted a lot of it is regurgitated, there always seems to be a few new gems. That takes some effort. Probably a lot more than we think.
