Please Bungie change the champion mod system. It's restrictive and the opposite of fun. There are other posts pertaining to alternatives to champion mods. Please take them into consideration.
Thank you.

All they have to do is make the mods more generic. Instead of "anti barrier scout rifle," just make it "anti barrier rounds." Make it weapon mods rather than armor mods and it's fine. Champions aren't an issue, the restricted AF loadouts are.

Based.

Do you realize how easy this game would be without champions in it? They would need to nerf ability and weapon damage by 50% and yet still it would be insanely easy. You cannot dispose of the champion system without changing the game first in a big way!
-
Every exotic weapon needs a champion mod if they are going to keep the current system and something like a barrier servitor shouldn’t be able to cast protection on another champion.
-
At the end of the day, the champions are far too bugged, if you can’t give it the way it’s intended - don’t give it at all. They either fix them or take them out of the game and try something else. Better yet, update the engine that’s been around since the dinosaurs.
-
Here's a conundrum for you: I'm a player & I enjoy the champion system. What now?
Please Bungie change the champion mod system. It's restrictive and the opposite of fun. There are other posts pertaining to alternatives to champion mods. Please take them into consideration. Thank you.
I'm gonna be blunt. It being restrictive and not entirely fun means it's working as intended. Wouldn't expect it to be changed.

Edited by The Hermit IX: 10/16/2022 1:17:24 AMPerfect post. It’s to the point, is actual feedback and sensible instead of the typical meltdowns and crying. You get an upvote for correctly bringing feedback to the forum and doing so properly.

Barrier could be all ranged weapons: scouts, pulse, snipers etc. Overload could be all spam weapons (based on the way the perk works): autos, smgs, sidearms etc. Unstop could be all single fire weapons (again, based on perk functionality): handcannons, shotguns etc. Just my ideas.

I like champions. They give you TONS of Super energy and add variety. Champion mods on the other hand is stupid and needs a change.

As i run auto shotgun machine gun i am ok provided not void burn. However if one type was hc and sidearrn only. Someone else would have to sort it

Game has become a Muppets Show in the hamster wheel. Your guardians have turned into hamsters, and their guns are tied into puppet strings. You think you are playing, but you’re not. You’re gun is on a puppet string. Guess who’s pulling the puppet string?… Your hamster is running on a wheel and is now shooting a puppet gun. Say hello to Kermit the Frog. He’s got a wire on his hand. Haha!🤣 “Play your way” - Bwahahahahahaha!!!🤣 A Muppets Show. “Watchable” 🤣

Edited by Gibbon, the Ape Defector: 10/16/2022 11:36:46 AMAsking for champions to go away is unrealistic, regardless of whether it's justified or not, because they are a huge part of endgame difficulty now, like it or not. So if we're going to call for changes vis-a-vis champs, then offer up a change that makes them less problematic in whatever way because that is far more practical than saying "delete them". Many have suggested that more weapons in a given season should have champ functionality, and honestly, I have appreciated the limitations because having sometimes strange archetypes to choose from has led me to dust off good weapons I may never have come around to otherwise. And I think if people saw this issue this way, they'd probably appreciate this as well.

Edited by VEXTERMINATOR-btd203: 10/16/2022 2:57:52 PMI would rather see Champion Mods go away and rather have Champion modifiers that make them more interesting. Get rid of the stun mechanic and make Champions tanky. Give them a special modifier that makes them are real threat rather than just an irritation. For example give them a modifier that gives them a radiating aura that turns any red bar enemies around them into majors indefinitely if they remain in the aura or 30 seconds if they wonder out. Champions would be way more fun if they augmented the adds around them. It would make add clear less of a trivial affair. Especially when dealing with enemies like Hive Thrall.

Good Luck With That

Agree I miss being able to put the mod on the gun mod slot on instead of armor like now only thing I would miss is the full auto retrofit mod and major spec though but one could be easily fixed by giving us an full auto toggle for all guns which wouldn't be broken because all guns would still have the same recoil and fire rate but I'm glad they are finally makeing more exotics work against champions
-
I've mentioned this a lot lately, but champion mods should be built into frames. Rapid fire and lightweight have overload intrinsically High impact and aggressive have unstoppable intrinsically Precision and adaptive have anti-barrier intrinsically
-
It would be nice to have more than just a few options. Like it would be nice to have more antibarrier options than scout, sniper, arbalest, wishender and autorifle. I mean it sounds like a lot, but i feel that it still lacks variety. Maybe add sidearms and SMGs in the mix too?
-
I enjoy it but it's gotten more boring now that there are 90 exotics that are anti champion
-
It would be refreshing if you could slot champion mods on guns of your choosing instead of being forced to use them based on Bungie’s present system.
-
I think the whole point was to Improvise. Adapt. Overcome or whatever Bear Grylls' saying is

I was playing checkers with my grandma, I told her I want all my checkers to move around the board as if they were all kinged already. She said no. So I flipped the checkerboard full of checkers in her face. Good times, they were, I miss you grandma.
