The 90day lockout and 90day lockout for deactivating cross save are infact mandatory. Bungie will not remove it or shorten that time for any reason.

Edited by LukeDNS: 9/20/2022 4:26:38 PMok thanks but i dont understand what happened with the characters of mine because i dont have any active characters shown in crosssave. only if i click "deactivate" than my characters show up under steam. but if i start destiny with that steam account i dont have anything... do you know what I can do to get my steam characters back or on another plattform?
-
but if i start destiny with that steam account i dont have anything...
You set up cross save and chose yourEpic save as main.
do you know what I can do to get my steam characters back or on another platform?
You will have to disable cross save and then after all cooldowns, reactivate taking care to select Steam as your active file.
-
okay thank you very much for the info!
-
You chose the wrong platform as your main characters, a lot do it. How did you buy silver though? Before you even logged on the pc?
-
i bought it 4 days before activating crosssave so is there even a guarantee that i get my chars back after the 90 days?

Edited by i♡Bounties: 9/20/2022 4:43:50 PMYeah they'll still be there, just idle. You don't lose them. Your issue is, once deactivated it's another 90 day cool down before you can reactivate cross save, so 180 days total. So your choice is, in 90 days play them on the platform you created them on, for 90 days, then add pc. Or bite the bullet now n start again fresh (sorry I've no idea how old your account is). I start new accs a lot, look at my account, it's just under 3 months old, don't be put off, unless your account is a really good one. Tough lesson to learn, very unforgiving way they do it :( especially with zero way to contact them
-
so my account is 4 yeas old and has like 95/100 godrolls (just random number for example), also a number of day one raids and a LOT of money invested so if i loose my chars i would be really upset (no mean to brag) but thank you REALLY really much

Then I'd suggest reaching out to a few ninjas/moderators on here via DM n explain. Try as many as you can find, some are really helpful, some aren't. May be able to get in touch with someone who can help you. Other than that, find new games for the next 90/180 days :((
-
All the ninjas and mentors will do is point him to the cross save policy.
-
Not true, hence why I said some are helpful and others aren't. I've been helped twice for things apparently not allowed by terms. For sure they can't personally fix anything, but some can reach out to people who can help.
-
They won't put you in touch with a Bungie employee to remove the cross save timer.
-
It's happened before, for a mistake like this. It's not removing the cross save timer, it's changing the master characters.
-
Yes before you could change your master save. Now you can not. Everyone now must deactivate cross save.
-
Ah ok fair enough. I deffo knew it happened in the past. Cheers
-
Not it hasnt. Bungie has been very firm on this stance
-
It really has.
-
One more question: so i when the 90 days are over. Then I go on "deactivate crossSave". And what do I do than I didnt quite catch that Thanks you
-
You'll then be able to play your 4 year account on the platform you created it on, so Xbox or psn I'm guessing. BUT bcoz you deactivated cross save there's another 90 day cooldwn before you can activate it again, so from right now it's 180 days before you can then add pc back and play those characters on pc.
-
ok but the characters are from steam... looks like that on my bungie crosssave settings. So do I still have to add the acc back after de-activating?

If your characters are steam then you can play on Steam in 90 days. I assumed you added steam to a console account, my bad sorry. Whatever account you created the characters on is the account you'll be able to play them on in 90 days
-
ok everything clear now thank you very much
