Edited by Spartan: 9/23/2022 9:50:48 AMLmao I seriously doubt this. They are just trying to scare people and even if they actually can they will just release a firmware update to counter it. Right or wrong the reality is when it comes to physical hardware translating inputs there isn't much software can do. Combo macros are a big problem for online fighting game tournaments which is why i only compete at in persons.

14 RepliesEdited by Scratch: 9/19/2022 3:44:55 PMBanning players is bad financially I say Bungie takes the path of poetic justice Don't ban 'em, match 'em up with each other. Once you've been detected using one of these devices, your thrown into the secret pool with others who use these devices. Anyone complaining about 'cheaters' would basically be ratting themselves out. EDBMM: "Enhancement" Device Based Match Making LoL
-
The key difference between Bungie and Epic: Epic cares about their players.
-
20 RepliesThough it remains to be seen how well the detection will work. Don't forget that every dev is struggling with xims, here's to hoping that fortnite has figured out a way to detect the emulation, but also remember that xim is going to fight them. The simple reality is that console players are going to be dealing with xim from now on in at least some degree.

Hackers are sooo persistent now days it’s crazy. Love em in pve/open world games, hate hate hate em in pvp games. Don’t care how bad your kd is. You’re not a bad player until you start hacking in pvp.
-
Sadly there’s already a workaround. Posted on youtube.

9 RepliesCan live service games just die already?

4 RepliesGonna feel so good when these hunters married to their dodge button have their true colours exposed

6 RepliesWhat are Adapters?
-
3 RepliesLooks like I might start playing Fortnite 😅😅😭😅😅
-
Hopefully if bungie implements, it retroactively bans players who've used in the past too
-
6 RepliesFortnite got better developers
-
Don't these devices use the very same aids that allow Microsoft adaptive controler, the elite pad and Keyboard + mouse to be used though? I can't see how you can discriminate between the differing devices and still have a game that's accessible to all tbh..
-
21 RepliesUnfortunately some with Disabilities use Adapters, and since you can't vet the Person, in then conflicts with Bungies "Inclusive to All". Fortnite on the other hand being 98.9% PVP, and D2 being 40%PVE/40%PVP/20% Gambit...... makes more sense in Fortnites end. Now if Bungie can set it to where if the system detected it, it would bar you from PVP/Gambit, but could still play PVE.
-
3 RepliesCan't name and shame here but I just saw someone in Control go 45-0 with a full-auto Jade Rabbit and other cheats. It happens on PC too and it's absurd!
-
1 ReplyConsidering Bungie mentioned that some people use mouse and keyboard as and accessibility option I kinda doubt we'll see the same. Probably easier to let people play with what ever they want then matchmake based on input.
-
I feel like the first step towards taking a serious stance for Bungie would be to host PvP on their own servers like Fortnite does and not use P2P.
-
finally! please sort this out in destiny because its rampant. all those morons that think that this isnt a thing finally have to eat their words now that a major game is addressing it.
-
Not sure why anyone or how anyone could use any type of cheat and feel like there good at any game, it blows my mind how many of these fkn kids talk -blam!- and dont do a fkn thing legit!
-
No chance bungie do anything.
-
2 RepliesSo what your telling me is Epic cares about creating a fair environment for its player base. I wish we had that kind of love from Bungie.
-
4 RepliesGood, about time all the cheaters were dealt with.

1 ReplyIt is odd that this notification is listed under the "What's New..." section of the Fortnite website, but not in the game itself. Maybe Epic wants it that way to catch people off-guard? Maybe since Sony owns a minority stake in Epic, this technology will transfer to Destiny at some point.
-
Would be awesome to see every game implement this.
-
2 RepliesI would say 'haleluya' if bungie was able to do the same!
