Its really best for overloads. Anything else is just an added bonus. If you take the bonus away, then its nothing more than a boring trace rifle with a champion mod
-
Players who want it nerfed should just make a point of not using it in fireteams for end game content. Players who struggle without it should be left to carry on exploiting it.
-
Bungie could leave Divinity alone and create a hard mode that locks out certain weapons. It could award an emblem that streamers could flaunt while the rest of us just play the game to have fun

2 RepliesIf Salt's issue is that the weapon makes challenges too easy for him, he's free to play with another weapon. If Salt's issue is that the weapon gives other players a chance at being as good as he is, then he is free to play with the weapon to make sure he stays on the top-tier list, or be less egotistical and give average players the unlikely chance to beat one of the best Destiny raiders in the world. Give me a break.

1 ReplyNeeds a damage buff fr

Guardian,Archon Of LightEliksni at Heart,Archon of House Light - old
Linears need a heavy nerf also, anything thats good should be nerfed , it should take 2 hours with 6 people shooting to take out a thrall Raids should take 6 months to complete -
It’s too good at too many things. There is no trade off when using it.
-
Ease of use? Its pretty obviously a crutch. I don’t care if it stays or goes, I’ll be fine either way.

The game is not supposed to be built for just one person or a few. That’s what they mean by MMO. One person’s opinion shouldn’t hold water when you are making a videogame for a multitude of gamers. This boils down to a few issues. First, it’s a game design issue. Game design revolves around loot. It’s called bait. They dangle loot, you pay money to get loot, years later they make same loot trash and destroy their own game. It’s a cash cow, and their bait is loot that they destroy later on wrecking their own game in the process. The bottom line is it’s bait, cash cow gaming. Game is designed around that. In a way, I call it broken. Cash cowing game design is a broken game design. Second issue is streaming community. They think the game is only made for them. That’s what happens when they think the world revolves just around them. It’s not. I was curious, so I spent an hour reading the twitter post from the guy where this all originated. I read most of his replies from others contradicting him and his reasoning is childish and selfish. I wouldn’t give these guys an inch if I’m the one making games for them. Lastly, the game already has a type of event. It’s called a world’s first race. The streamer community dominates this space. They don’t need to ruin it for the rest of the community. Especially with childish and selfish reasoning. Just my 2 cents.

10 RepliesIt’s an experiment by the streamer crowd to see if they can influence Bungie. It’s being done to negatively impact the PVE community and being parroted by multiple streamers because Bungie brought back SBMM which has negatively impacted them. Sad they’d do this. Perhaps some of you need to unsubscribe from their respective channels to show them their behaviour isn’t without consequence.

5 RepliesIt invalidates tether and other debuffs.
-
it's makes the absolute highest skill, best players, most optimal dps be completely skill-less. no one is wanting it to be unusable but the best thing should never be the easier to use/lowest skill.
-
Honestly it could get the agers treatment and need to consume super for the the weaken. I'd personally leave it alone since the Crit bubble plus weaken is it's whole identity but add in teirs to the weaken debuff. I.e. tier 1= 15% (weaken nades and artifact mods due to the lack of ammo consumption and easy spam) Tier 2/div tier= 30% (unchanged from current value) Tier 3/ Tether= 50% (costs super and has roughly 10 second duration so it should be the best source of weaken and would pair well with div given best weaken and div bubble) Crucible would keep weaken tied to 15% across all tiers. The weaken tier addition would be the least divisive without changing too much in the sandbox and only favour the risk/reward formula

I’m going to use recluse as an example because people said I’m bored of the recluse meta and the void 3.0 releases and what are people using funnelweb which is the same gun minus the perk.
-
Nerf divinity. PvE meta needs an update it's so boring running the same loadout for so long.
-
This just in, the latest TWAB.
”The one about nerfing Divinity”

Just kidding😂😂😂,but am still slightly expecting this…
-
Crit spot too big plus too strong debuff
-
1 ReplyIt should get a catalyst. This catalyst will only drop from a flawless Gos completion on master level. It should turn the weapon in a boss buffing machine (the boss does 25 procent more damage, and gets 50 procent more health. Instant hard mode for the top players.
-
The hitbox isn’t the size of the encounter. It’s just a blue ball and not constantly changing different colors with jellyfish rave music playing. It’s just not a good vibe that’s probably why it needs to be changed accordingly to what I explained.
-
Nerf divinity. Learn to aim.
-
13 RepliesIt's the strongest weakening effect in the game and at the same time it gives you a crit spot the same size as a smaller planet.
-
Bungie: void 3.0 is designed to be this utility class for invis, devour and debuffs. We want players to use hunters for debuff, and ti encourage this we’re going to stop making seasonal mods that apply debuffs. Also Bungie: here’s divinity that has the highest debuff, and highest debuff uptime that will invalidate your hunters void existence down to a chest piece for rezzes.
-
Negates the power of all other debuffs while also reducing the need to aim. Give it a 5% reduction to debuff and thus barely touching the power of it but takes away its place as most ‘optimal’.
-
17 RepliesIt's damage increase surpasses everything else in the game making it the only go to option for nearly every boss encounter in the entire game. That's the problem with it. It surpasses things like hunter tether, the original boss damage buff. A super should not be useless compared to a special weapon. Divinity does need a nerf by a little bit. This is coming from the guy that is almost always running div and crutches it in 90% of content.
-
1 ReplyI think its funny because its the people who have either never done Garden to even get the weapon DSC or VoW who say Nerf divinity because in those raids the crit spots are some massive omg shoot me duh shot. Aethon & Oryx are almost a decade old if not already what logic is there to Nerf a gun because it helps the fireteam accomplish a goal. And if you want a challenge make a lfg with no div just that simple imo. Heck I don't think we really used div outside of warpriest (screw his knight mechanic annoying AF) rhulk and taniks.

27 RepliesIt removes the need for the Tether super. It reduces the skill requirement for DPS phases. It is a required Exotic for almost all endgame content. It is complicated to obtain, so not everyone has it. It removes the need to buildcraft for specific encounters. BTW, I'm playing Devil's Advocate. Personally, I think PVE should be as easy as possible.
